I've got no problem selling the big man but the money has to be right.

£8million would do it, we won't get more as he didn't perform well in the champions league.

Any lower I'd be more than happy to keep him, but it appears he's only ever intended to use us as a stepping stone - which is fair enough.

Yes he did, in my opinion anyway. he was a clear standout in our side. I almost felt sorry for him in the Nou Camp, he was a class apart from the rest of our squad in the whole CL campaign.

Personally, if we accepted £12m I'd say fair enough Celtic, good business. Anything less and I'd be gutted. I'm hoping he stays for another season and then goes for £15m.

I think he did well in the champions league. Many people seem to forget that because on the whole our group stage was a bit of a stinker. He was immense in the San Siro and played well in the Nou camp, we just happened to come up against Barca on a good day and better sides than us with better defenders than Virgil have been destroyed like that.

I want at least the same as Wanyama so £12m, however I believe Virgil is the better prospect out of the two.

I honestly can't see him going this Summer. I think we'll receive bids around the £8m mark but Lawwell will reject, just like he did when QPR offered a similar fee for Wanyama the season before he left. With 3 years still on his contract, the balls in our court and with another fantastic season under his belt and more champions league exposure his price will soar. Also with Van Gaal leaving Holland, Van Dijk could be called up to the national squad which is going to inflate his price too. Lawwell is a very smart and shrewd business man, who will be well aware of all of this, so I think it would have to be a massive bid (£12m+) to get him talking.

Hope we hang onto him for at least the qualifiers (same with FF). I'd like him to stay longer, depends on whether we are wiling to offer him more money, I suppose.

Nothing to do with that. As I've said hes got 3 years left on his contract, the balls in our court.

Naive or what? Players have it their way 90% of the time.
