Oh no I support Liverpool, all my valid points must be quashed

And yes, the bottom team shall receive 60m this year, hence why I said that. * knows what the Champions will earn.

All it is , is another pathetic attempt to sell season tickets you here the same old * year in year out fed utter bullshit then we go and sign unknown projects for pennies.

I would personally love a player who we signed for 5mil that got everyone buzzing but lets be honest its not going to happen we will continue down the road were on now most players we sign will spend more time playing for the reserves than the first time and wont get a look in and the odd time we will get a Wanyama or a Virgil .

We laugh at sevco fans for continually swallowing the bullshit they are fed. I'd like to think we are not so gullible. Maybe Peter is talking about an unknown player from an unknown universe. Careful Peter, you could end up as a parody of the people you laughed at.

I dont see where it saying he said he WILL spend £8m on 1 player....more that we could if we wanted to.... Its a huge gamble spending that kind of money for the SPFL.

I'd much rather spend £2m on a left-back, £2m on an attacking mid, and invest the remaining £4m in the youth academy and scouting system.

I don't think we should spend much money on the youth academy until we start seeing a better return from it . We seem to have a succession of good underage teams but we don't see them come through to the first team in big numbers .

I suppose it's a bit of a catch 22. If we don't invest we can't really expect results, but I see your point. The truth is that we've developed some really talented youth players in recent years, they've just all failed to take the final step for some reason. The easiest person to point the finger at for that is Lennon.

I think there is little chance that Celtic will spend £8 million on one player. Celtic's signing strategy is typically to buy players cheap and sell for profit. I am not sure that Celtic could readily sign a £8 million player and sell for profit. I think Celtic should keep the current transfer policy of buying developing players for circa £2 million, develop and sell for profit. However I could happily make an exception for a good striker. I like the potential of Finnbogason. If it can be proved that Finnbogason could step up in the Champ League he would be worth the investment and I am sure profit can be achieved when selling on. Obviously I would love to sign players long term, however the lack of revenue available in Scotland means that typically Celtic have to eventually sell to help with cash flow.

Whats up with fridjonsson? Is he injured or what and is it true he is being loaned to KR rejkavkik (or however its spelt) to the end of the season? Heard some inside info on that because if its true what a waste buying a player from iceland try to get him used to the scottish game and then loan him back to iceland? Tom rogic scenario?

Got injured in a youth game, as far as I know that is why he is out not that he is being moved out on loan.

Agree with the comments on spreading that £8m over two or three players. I would like the following:

    Competition for Izzy.
Competition for Ambrose, potential replacement. He's no CL player for me.
Left winger if Derk continues to be made of glass.
