According to ESPN, last season Andre Gray had 43 out of 107 shots on target (40.1%). Griffiths had 120 out 230 on target (52%). Leigh Griffiths scores around 16% of his shots, Andre Gray scores around 15%. Andre Gray took around the same number of matches to only score 17 goals.

Andre Gray's record for Luton was weaker than Leigh Griffith's record for us. The difference being that Andre Gray was playing in the conference for Luton, a weaker league.

What was Griffiths record like in League 1 with Wolves? Genuine question by the way not trying to be sarky or anything.

Don't know his overall stats but was he not their top scorer for the season when he joined us in the winter of that year?

Actually those Andre Gray stats were Brentford.

It should be 46 out of 121 on target (38%).

That's what I remember but I also remember people saying he was * there, which is why I was interested. Don't where to find those percentage stats otherwise i'd look myself.

In my humble opinion so hasn't Griffiths been very clinical at all in Europe. He's been scoring after getting like 3-4 very good chances. Will be interesting to see how he does in CL against decent opposition where he might only get 1-2 chances.

Much better than I thought it would have been. I swear Wolves fans were slagging him off.

How do you assume Andre Gray is better than Griffiths?

    Similar players i'd say.

Scott Brown is the captain of his country. Tell me how many games Griffiths has had at that level?

Irrelevant though, Bobby Murdoch got 12 caps and is one of Scotlands greatest ever players.

Griffiths has won Player of the Year twice in Scotland at age 25, Scott Brown has played his whole career here and is 31 and has won it once.

    The * does that matter?

Scotland won't even pick another of their natural born goalscorers Jordan Rhodes over * like Fletcher. How many games has Ross McCormack played for Scotland in recent years?

Scoring goals in the SPL won him poty and let's face it, Kris Boyd did that as well. It's his over-all game I'm judging him on. When he starts banging in goals for us in the Champions League like Scott McDonald, Samaras, Hooper etc, then I'll gladly hold my hands up and say I'm wrong about the player.

It's a disgrace Bobby Murdoch only got 12 caps although in the modern game that would have been nearer 30 which still wouldn't have been enough. Must have been some choice of midfielders back then.

Think it had to do with him wanting to be back in Scotland more than his quality. He was very effective for them that year before the move.

There must be a reason Fletcher gets chosen over these players. And it's not as if they're top scorers in the top flight down there either!

Kris Boyd never won player of the year, was infact regularly slagged and seen as a joke player who scored penalties and batter goals into wee diddy teams. Something like 1 goal in 25 games against us in his career. Im sure never scored at Pittodrie, scored like 2 goals at Tynecastle, 2 at Easter Road, never scored at Celtic Park.

Boyd was like a Chris Killen or Adam Rooney.

Yup. The difference between Aberdeen and the likes of St Johnstone is pretty much nothing. Hate to say it but Scottish Football is now at an ultimate low. Griffiths has proved nothing to me yet.

Correct. The problem is that the Scottish national team are stuck in the dark ages, and would rather accomodate a player they can lump the ball up to in the air, as opposed to players who have excellent goalscoring records and have good movement.

Wow. That's a pretty embarrassing comment. You should just give up trying to discuss anything about football.
