Boruc or Forster?

Boruc for sheer personality and unbelievable shot stopping. forster for consistency, apart from.commanding his area. quality question

Boruc by an absolute mile

Forster is a big unit and a stop shotter but all round, he isn't very good

 

I've followed the Hoops now, for more years than a cow can *, saw them all, Boruc was our best ever Big FF has to hit his peak yet, so expect more heroics before he goes

 

I think Boruc has been better for Celtic but Forster will become a much better Keeper than him

 

Boruc. One of the very best keepers in the world at one point, arguably only behind Casillas & Buffon. He had a better command of his area than Forster as well & was more of a personality. Both top class shot stoppers.

 

Do you mean he will be a more consitent performer for longer or actually a more skillful keeper ?

I can remember Boruc performing in major international tournaments and even the English having to take notice of how brilliant he was ( the same as they had to with Larsson).

 

Forster.

I tend to think when it comes down to this debate that people let Artur's character and his love of winding up the scum cloud their judgement on him as a goalkeeper. When it comes to pure ability, I think Fraser edges it.

 

Boruc was a world class keeper

 

Afriad I have to repectfully totally disagree.

Some may let Boruc's character cloud their judgement and Forster can still get better (as can Boruc) but in terms of pure ability Boruc on his day is some way ahead of Forster.

 

At the top of his game Boruc was in the top 3 goalkeepers in the world. If he had been at a Barcelona, Madrid or Man U or the likes he would have been touted as one of the best by everyone. The fact he was here, not so much. The same goes for Forster but in terms of ability it's Boruc for me. Forster was brilliant today again though!

 

It's a close one but still has to be King Artur.

Nobody, and i mean nobody rammed it up Der Hunnen as much as this man except maybe Peter Grant

 

King Artur made me so proud during Euro 2008....Was easily in the top 8 goalkeepers in the world during his peak, possibly top 5

 

Boruc ,Forster is good but not quite Boruc's level at his peak yet . Also I doubt Forster would ever have the personality of Boruc

 

Forster - on top form he's better, on worst form he's better, he's more solid, more consistent, a better shot stopper, and better at one on ones (the best goalie i've ever seen at that).

Artur was better at catching, punching, communicating and hated the huns though.

 

Forster. We all loved Boruc but at the end his professionalism was less than sterling.

 

Boruc was brilliant and proved his natural ability but I prefer Forester just because the amount of effort he had put in and showed a lot of commitment on keeping his form and his concentration has gotten a lot better, though Stevie Woods deserves a lot of credit for his work with big fraser!

 

Boruc was mad . Would have to go for forster
