Really and truly he's too good for the Championship. But playing week in week out will do no harm for his development at all. I expect him to be pushing for a starting 11 spot in Celtic next year. I rate this kid highly

Some of them already think he will be better than Allan, which is worrying for us.

Could be a case of "a radge scorned" right enough, but still worrying that Henderson has slotted in there and tore it up.

Great to hear he done well.

Can only improve with regular game time. Hoping he's pushing for a start next year. If not, then definitely the one after. Wouldn't be against loaning him to Hibs again next year (with a clause that he can't play against us, if/when promoted).

I was optimistic this would be his break out year but I guess it's good he'll be getting a lot of experience and hopefully confidence with Hibs. I have high hopes he's going to be a star for us within a couple of years, he's got a natural touch you can't teach.

Moved there yesterday, played today, the hibees think he could be better than Allan.

    Nobody else concerned about that?

They are basing it on 20 mins and probably trying to convince themselves after losing their best player.

Not concerned. He's still our player, after all. :50:

They are also different players. One of them was going on about how they loved his work eithic compared to Allan's but Liam's game is all about that, Allan's isn't.

He's a better player with far more potential. He was always going to stand out.

Barring a bad injury (which with our luck with Scottish youngsters, I wouldn't rule out) he will be a mainstay in our team for years if given the chance.

Not a dig at Allan who is a decent wee player but Henderson will be twice the player this time next year.

Which is why I can't understand spunking 300k on Allan.

That money would have been better put towards an area of the pitch that needed strengthened and keep Henderson here.

I worry that we have been sold a false dawn with Allan. Just because he stood out in the second division doesn't mean it's going to translate to us.

True. Allan will be a competent squad player who can do the job in the league - who knows he may suprise us.

The guy is victim of the hun interest and media frenzy. Being Scottish, coming from the second tier and only costing 300k, we knew we weren't getting a CL signing.

Had this been another player at this level and the signing being under the radar until announced, I don't think we would be fussed. We are placing expectations on the lad and writing him off for not meeting them before a ball is kicked.

For 300k, he will do okay to supplement the squad. I'm not expecting him to show up in Europe or be a mainstay in the team. He's not even in competition with others in his position. He'll make a competent squad player we can rotate.

A year from now if him and Henderson are competing for a place, Hendo (again barring stagnation from injury) will walk in as a far superior player.

But again, Allan may surprise us as GMS did when he arrived - I had my reservations about him to as I do with most Scottish based players.

I think that a couple of years from now that pair will be the mainstay of our midfield

I think folk need to remember with Henderson that he's a teenager with plenty of room for growth.

No need for the comparisons with Allan, who was also a fantastic prospect at 19 as well. They are completely different players with completely different skill sets.

I like the way we are handling Henderson, it is far better for him to be playing weekly at his age rather than being drip fed experience from the bench at Celtic.
