First Pletikosa is Croation, not Polish... and is is a dodgy keeper. No way near as good as the masterful Boruc. Pavluchenko is not a prolific striker and most of his goals from headers. But Mick should sort him out easy.

I think we have better technical players in McGeady and Nakamura. We lack pace, and thats obvious. But we have better creativity and better players in midfield. Also I hear they have a dodgy defense.

Well I would think the way we played against Milan over both legs last season earned us a lot of respect from Ancelotti. Which considering what he has achieved in the game both as a player and manager is something to feel some pride in.

He is not their keeper . It is a Polish guy called Wojciech Kowalewski
He has saved 13 penalties and is known as the penalty king :50:

Eh no, not at all: Karl Rappan, a coach from Austria, invented the "catenaccio" or "verrou" at Servette in Switzerland, taking back one defender to form the line of 4 behind, and for more sureness another one behind this defense line. I don't remember the right year, I believe around 1930/35.
Then "we" have developed it very well with our (red&black) big legendary coach Nereo Rocco in the late '40.

Hard match, very important for you is to score over there.

Ede is, actually, correct. Pletikosa is the strarting Spartak keeper now. Kovalevski hasn't played for Spartak this year at all although he is still with Spartak (2nd backup goalie)

You are, actually, incorrect about Pletikosa. Pletikosa is a big reason why Spartak hasn't lost in 7 games in a row in the Russian league (6 wins and 1 tie). He is very solid. Of course, in all honesty, he is not Boruc, but he is not Kovalevski either who is "dodgy" indeed.

McGeady and Nakamura are very talented technically, but I wouldn't say that Torbinskiy and Titov are light years behind them in creativity. Especially, Tornibskiy has has simply blossomed this season. Spartak definitely has more speed on the outside, but we don't have a deadly place kicker like Nakamura. Kalinichenko, the Ukrainian midfielder, has scored a few free kicks for Spartak, but he is not a main squad player, so he won't get many opportunities against your team.

As far as the Spartak's dodgy defense, here I will wholeheartedly agree with you. Spartak hasn't had a great defense for a few generations now. Spartak has almost always played an offensive style of game, that's why Spartak has always relied on very good keepers. In the 80s, we had Rinat Dasaev (undeniably, one of the most gifted goalies of the time, and if you know soccer than you MUST know him). In the 90s, we had Stanislav Cherchesov (the current head coach) who wasn't as good as Dasaev, but he was still a world class keeper. Basically, great goalies were helping Spartak for many years to make up for an overly offensive game style. Spartak hasn't had a world class goalie since then, and no wonder, we haven't won a domestic championship since 2001. Pletikosa is pretty good though. He might not be as good as even Cherchesov, but still he is very solid. And like I said previously, he is a big reason why Spartak has been doing well recently.
