That's a realistic figure in my opinion if he doesn't sign a new contract. Off the back of a horrendous season, why would any club pay £4-5 million for a guy they could sign on a pre-contract in Jan?

Proven goalscorers are always going to command a higher fee. McCormack comes with a guarantee of goals at that level and came off the back of a tremendous season - scoring 29 goals - with an average Leeds side. He also wasn't entering his last year of contract.

Contrast that with Stefan who looked poor for the majority of the season against a worse standard of player, it's not hard to see why there would be a disparity.

    This^^

As far as I'm concerned Johansen can go for around 4m we already have a better player in the number 10 role and that's Rogic who is by far a better technical player and as Monaghan said stamina isn't fully important in the no10 role, you don't need to be charging up and down as its not your job, as a number 10 you have to be creative and have the ability to dribble, shoot and pass along with linking up the play with the wide men and forwards and Rogic does this far better than Johansen.

Having said all that I hope to * we don't play 4231 so we wont need a number 10 but either way I would punt Johansen.

They are in talks with Thomas Delaney from Copenhagen so you'd imagine if he signs they wouldn't be wanting Johansen.

He's got a year left on his contract doesn't he? I wouldn't mind too much if he left for £5 million or so. He's replaceable and he was really poor this season, would rather get Delaney or someone like that in than hope he recaptures his form.

Be happy to see him go, chases tackles he's never going to make, kicks guys when their back is to him and falls over near the box

Think Henderson and McGregor can match him for energy and one is better at passing, the other better at dribbling so I think he's now a real candidate to be moved on.

:smiley-laughing002: Took me all of 30 secs

Canny stand the * from the moment he cost us £20M of CL money by blocking big VVDs goal bound header to give us a second away goal against Maribor(And then laughed it off afterwards), obviously didn't mean to block it but the point stands still haven't forgiven him.

Last season his performances and constant selection nearly sent me over the edge. I just can't take to him, turned into a plastic hard man and just sulks in the jersey. He's outstayed his welcome for me and I'd love to see him moved on asap.

ant remember what game it was but a euro game we were a man down, we were counter attacking and johansen whilst running t support it was chopping and hacking away at the opposition player matching his run, bringing him down fortunately the officials missed it- but considering he was on a card already we are a man down fighting to get something from it and this clown is doing his best to make the situation worse.

that kinda attitude he can take and gtf, you could paint it positive but for me taking that kinda gamble in a big game its comppletely brainless so punt him
