Nobody is asking for "big money" to be spent.

We're asking for a reasonable sum of money to spent, which we know the club has, in order to bring in good enough players.

Clearly the low-dosh signing policy has NOT worked in our striker department. Sure the club may come across a diamond in the rough from time to time. But you'd be an absolute imbecile to expect that to come with every 300,000 spent on a player. * sake.

6 million or so is in no way an unreasonable amount of money to spent on a striker who has a proven record. Especially young players that can come here and we can see a return value for in the future.

What does asking for money to be spent have to do with hunting glory?

Hoping and praying we go in for griffiths. As far as I can see he fits the 30 goals a season mould of striker that we need.

Wanting the club to spend 'Big money' on marquee player is glory hunting.

Is wanting to replace players like Hooper so that we can maintain a certain level at the very least, seen as glory hunting?

I think it will be a quiet window for us.

Looks as if Ledley and Sammy have had their time here. I doubt either will want to move in this window, as if they leave for free in a few months time, they'll likely manage to secure a better wage.

Tough to lose two players for nothing who do have good value otherwise.

Coming in, I think Lennon will try and pull in a big name over the hill striker from probably the US.

Not really expecting much at all. It is just a canter until the end of the season now. Would be nice to pull in a few players to prepare for next season, but history tells us that not that much happens in January.

What about Leigh Griffiths i know he has a few personal issues and can be a toe rag but he seems to be banging in the goals.

In less than a year, we could have a team without Forster, Wilson, Wanyama, Ledley, Samaras, and Hooper. Depressing state of affairs. Just gotta keep moving, though, and hope we can sign players that will gel as well as those players did in the Hoops.

If they don't reshape and more importantly spark the imagination of the fans with at least one decent signing parkheads going to be awfy quiet for the next 5 months.

Only thing to keep fans engaged is knowing that they are shaping up for another tilt at the CL.

Lennon has three or four targets for the three positions he hopes to fill and discussed those with chief executive Peter Lawwell yesterday.

‘We worked away at the business we want to do, as best we can,’ he said. ‘People might laugh at this, but I think the squad is thin and I want to add to it in certain areas.’

‘We are looking at three positions to add to. It’s about longer-term planning. There’s no point bringing loan signings in now, unless it’s with a view to buying the player at the end of it.’

We're crying out for an all round centre forward and some attacking midfield creativity but I fear the biggest miss at the moment is a clear, joined-up footballing philosophy to take the club forward. The best signing we could make would be a new coach better able to produce the progressive football the fans want to see.

I thought Ledley was gonna leave, but now I'm not so sure ... which is extremely promising. We REALLY need a solid veteran like him for Champions League qualifiers.

I really don't care if Sammy leaves, anymore.

If all we do for business is a proven striker, I'll be happy.

I wouldn't say so. Our record in signing strikers is absolutely appalling though, all I want is a goal scorer; a guy who will bang them in in our league. But can't see even that happening.
