Good to look at and they add a little to the atmosphere, but they are still dangerous.

You can still sing, chant and dance without the use of flares.

Think they look tremendous but probably not worth the hassle.

Too much scope for injury if they are thrown or dropped (flares), and the smoke seems to affect people with breathing difficulties so it's a no from me.

    Bangers are * pointless.

Absolutely nothing to be lost from just singing yer heart out for 90 minutes and roaring yer team on.

Can see the pros and cons. Look great, smell * terrible.
Beautiful and really add to the atmosphere when done well and in conjunction with banners, flags, scarves, tifos, other pyro, but sadly of late it's normally just one drunk numpty flinging one on to a pitch and getting the rest of his fanbase in trouble.

    They really do look amazing.

Still shouldn't be needed though. The whole point is to inspire the team on the park, that is easily achievable through song and roaring them on.

Too much downside and potential for injury/upset. Smoking up the playing area is also annoying in some European games I see them used in.

Loads of it in Sweden. Changed the rules for next season so "trained staff" will light all flares to make it safe.
