I love Neil Lennon and think he is far more intelligent and articulate than most people give him credit for.The media love to portray him as a snarling skinhead Ned so everything he says or does is filtered through this stereotype.would people prefer him to give cliches in post match interviews . I love that he defends the players and never slaughters them in public. The horns and halo effect mean that sadly he will always fair worse than cheekychappy McCoist who in my opinion is an obsequious smarmy two faced spineless creep but this is Scotland so it's no surprise.

Heard things like this said a lot about alex ferguson over the years.
Usually by people who just like to moan & bump their gums.
Fortunately they aren't usually knowledgeable on football.:86:

He's brilliant for the club & what he achieved in such a short
space of time from what he inherited is nothing short of remarkable.

If the reference to sean isn't trolling, then i'm not sure I understand
    what trolling means.

Sean , i voted liability/good manager and my reasons were the twitter stuff and the ranting on the side lines but as a manager he is doing extremely well . all the sectarian stuff appalls me and i admire him for rising above it.... * it im wrong !!!! i change it to he stands his ground .

Nothing wrong with the way NL conducts himself as Celtic manager, everything he does as Celtic manager is done with the best intentions for our club and that's more than good enough for me.

He's a pretty good manager as well. :50:

Think your letting his accomplishments as our football manager cloud your judgement. As a person you couldn't really fault mowbory.

I like him, the lads had some amount of * thrown at him since he became our manager......and he's still here, just goes to show how much he cares for the club.

Don't know him as a person. He (and Petrov) signed my bowling ticket one time I was in for my birthday when I was 8 or something lol.

I think when he complains about stuff and genuinely is a bad loser, its because he's a Celtic fan first and foremost. He has the same mentality as us. I love it but he does come off as looking a bit stupit with his outbursts. But as I said, I love the guy. I'm very much like that aswell.

Another one of those odd threads on TalkCeltic. Most of us have never met Neil Lennon before, so it's impossible to make a well informed judgement on his personality. Even the options on this are referring to aspects of his personality in the context of football scenarios i.e. being bad tempered to a ref, how he conducts interviews, relationship with media etc. I could only guess that he is a flawed human being like the rest of us, but with all the reprehensible, disgusting, outrageous incidents he's had to endure in his life, then I'm not surprised he doesn't always come across as friendly or whatever. What I would add is that sometimes we place Lennon on a pedestal and any slight criticism - whether from Celtic supporters or even supporters of other clubs - is labelled as hunnish or bigoted.

Absolutely Paddy, Neil Lennon is a Celtic supporter who through his career path has been lucky enough to be the manager of Celtic. He's a Celtic fan and OK he has to temper his behaviour now he's the manager. Every one off us true Celtic Fans behave in a way that none of us can explain, we go mental at times. I'm sure everyone on this site have done things as Celtic fans that we probably shouldn't have. I have on many occasions through simple social interactions, holidays, even family celebrations. We are who we are and the club represents who we are, sometimes we let that go to our heads. NEIL IS ONE OF US.

I think he's great, so I voted fine. I would vote the "goes over the top" option but you have to allow a bit of leeway considering the job, and I don't think I disagree with him too often to make that a thing. The only time I think he went over the top was against Hearts in the 11/12 Scottish Cup semi. I am fully behind him in backing Broony against the cheating rat.
