    Fair enough :50:

In fairness to the OP, if the debate was whether Celtic should actively integrate our Youth Academy players into our first team earlier that we have done, in order to potentially benefit in the future at the risk of short term failure in the Champions League etc, then that could have been a goer. Or indeed what markets we should primarily pursue. But any debate about signing someone based on their nation of birth, ethnicity, religion etc is not welcome in any context.

Israelis to prove that we scout undertapped markets.

The unidentified Croatian to make a point about inflated markets. Can you not get your wee head around hypotheticals, son?

An all foreign team would be interesting.

Have we ever fielded an all-foreign starting XI i.e. no Scots or Irish in the side?

Wouldn't think so, always remember at least one Scot in all Celtic teams.

Not beyond the realms of possibility that it happened though.

I might be mistaken but just from browsing a few BBC links, Celtic have only ever played 8 non British & Irish players in a starting 11 for a competitive game at the end of the Mowbray era/start of Lennon era. I'm not sad enough to look through all our line ups under MON but there may be one with 9 foreign players, we've definitely never had an all foreign line up before

Bit of a daft question. We should try sign the best players we can for the best value.

We've had successful British and foreign players play for us.

It might be harder to get value from the British market these days but we shouldn't and won't rule it out.
