My earliest memory of Celtic is when I got a pet Terrapin for my 4th Birthday in 1990 as I was obsessed with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. My Mum suggested I name it Dziekanowski and when I asked why my Mum explained that he was the Celtic Striker and had scored 4 goals against Partizan Belgrade. Mad the stuff you remember but that has always stuck with me.

My youngest sons first pet was a Caterpillar he kept in a match box called Henrik.

He also had a hamster called Hoopy which was an evil, finger eating wee *.

Atmosphere, the history of the club and, later, politics were probably the biggest draws. My family weren't Celtic fans (my dad's English, the rest of my family weren't really into football) but my brother and I managed to convert them - they're mad Tims now.

I'm not of immediate Irish descent either so I suppose I got into Celtic because, literally, all my friends were Celtic fans. I don't think I was friends with a "Rangers fan" (nominally) until 3rd or 4th year at school. :smiley-laughing002:

I don't think any neutral could go to Celtic Park and leave without feeling some kind of attraction of attachment to the club. I love it. :celt_2:

Have always been a fan of my home team but as a young kid (7 or 8) i was taken to a Celtic match with my friend and his dad. (My parents aren't really into football much)
    Loved it.
On the playground at school Celtic was my "big team" haha

Grew up splitting my weekends between each club. Still do it now when i can.

(For some reason my brother managed to become a zombie :54: )

Aye, I remember drawing a picture of it and then attempting to spell Dziekanowski ended up Jakinoffski.

This is very true. I took my wifes best pal, a Sunderland ST holder, to a game against Hibs a few years ago. I didn't think it was anything special, it was just a normal run of the mill SPL game.

She came away raving about it and is now hooked. She gets up to CP whenever she can now.

I showed my wife and step daughter some of the games especially the Barca game last year and also a lot of Henrik's matches and also the 6-2 game.
They can't wait to go to Celtic Park.

Family are, so I was. Never ever made a decision to "become" a Celtic supporter, for as long as I can remember i've just been taken to Parkhead, given Celtic tops, hoopy the huddle hound pens and * lol.

Now i've got my own season ticket :celt_2:

It could probably all be traced back to the fact we've been awesome for over 100 years.
