Lustig or Matthews?

strongest we've ever been in the right back area.

big fan of both but i think defensively, Lustig nudges it.

i love Lustig.

Lustig is a better Defender but Matthews is better going forward,(both are great in different games) if you could wrap them into the one player he would be one of the best right backs Celtic has had in a very long time and would be a 10-15 million pound player easy.

 

Matthews shades it. Both top players though that I hope will be here for a long time.

 

such a difficult choice, would like them both in the team with matthews played a bit further ahead, think he offers a lot going forward, can't believe we had no bids for them in the summer genuinely think they are up there with the best right backs in britain at the moment.

 

I can never understand people saying "it's a good problem to have". Both deserve to be starting. If you limit game time for both, you might end up losing the two of them (although 38 games last season is a good return). Must be a tough balancing act for any manager. I'd hate to be picking between them. Easier for us because we're playing in 4 competitions and both players are quite versatile.

 

Lustig by a distance. He's a much better defender.

Spot on Although if Matthews keeps progressing the way he has then he'll be twice the player of Lustig

 

I went for lustig as he can play cb too and brings more to the team but I really like matthews too, I think Matthews should be played further forward

Far too close to call for me.

 

They are for me as things stand our best 2 defenders although if Van Dijk does as well as he is looking now he might join them. My attitude given both can play in more then 1 position is that if its a big game and both are fit like last Wednesday then you find a way to have both in the team.

 

Rate both of them very highly but Lustig edges it for me.

 

Matthews, but I'm beginning to think there is plenty of football to go around.

On one hand, it's great to see two immensely talented players, battling it out for the same position. On the other hand, you just wish they weren't, because you'd rather have both of them on the field at the same time.

I'll go with Lustig just by a wee bit.

If Matthews fully develops, however, it won't even be close.

 

It's close but Lustig for me. Ideally Matthews plays right back and Lustig in the centre.

 

does anyone think Matthews in a couple of years could do a bale and play more in midfield than defending
