Nobody would have thought a year ago the the big lanky doofus who was feart to pass forward would become one of our best players. Well in Nir!

 

A few of us always thought he'd come good. And he's always had a tendency to pass forward. Don't know where you're getting that from.

 

Whenever he played under lennon all I remember him doing was passing backwards and side to side. Can't remember him coming forward and making splitting passes or taking players on. I didnt see him becoming our best player, never in a million years. You should become a scout, youve got an eye for it!:smiley-laughing002:

 

Plenty of players in our team that can pass a ball, but Nir has a brilliant footballing brain, knows where to position himself and get the ball moving to get the team moving forward.
So calm in tight situatuations as well which I think is his best quality, they'll be 2 guys pressing on him and he'll just drop the shoulder and walk past him. The big has a bit of pace as well, made a couple of cracking runs last night brushing past 3 or 4 players

 

What's he worth you reckon & how long has he got left on his contract?

 

I dont think we would be too stupid to ask or £10 million for him to be honest. I would be very supised if this isnt whats being branded about this time next year.

 

Got to be his lowest pass success rate in the Hoops last night, misplaced it a good few times. Could tell he was frustrated with himself and went in late a few times.

Was intercepting like a * boss though. Still not a bad performance but below his standard.

 

I think that was borne out of frustration more than anything, I quite liked it, even though he was late a helluva lot.

 

I took a colleague who's come up from London to the game last night, when he asked who to look out for I said Bitton and showed him some of the lovely goals and passing he can do on youtube videos.

Poor game by his standards and a few levels below what he showed against Sociedad. Not worried though, think him or GMS will be player of the year. Does anyone know how his contract situation is like?

 

One of my favourite players, proper quality in the middle, think he's (like everyone else under Ronnie) just gonna get better and keep adding to his game. That overall process of individual improvement is one of the most exciting things about us now, we're just gonnae keep improving!

He seemed to take people on alot more and did a fair bit of powerful forward running and dribbling last night - at times i couldn't work out who was on the ball , thought Sammy was back .

 

Bit weird but I actually think he looks better the better opposition is, you really see how important his control and slick passing is then. Against lesser opposition he ia happier to just sit and break up play and spray the ball around, less need for fancy stuff.

 

I think he will become a midfield beast, he's half way there already. He seems to be adding a bit more dig, but controlled, finessed dig, to his game. He'd gee me the fear if I was playing against him. Imagine what it must look like, seeing this huge lanky rubber man coming at ye, making a fool of you wi his skill then planting ye wi a crunching tackle.

If I can see anyone in the current squad hitting the 10 million mark again then it's this guy.

Really has came on leaps and bounds.

 

Was disappointed with him last night,but think its down to how well he was tail end of last season

 

The stream I was watching lastnight was balls but you could still tell he was posted missing. Don't think I heard his name get mentioned at all in the second half
