Don't know if I want him back here. Since his goal against Barca, he was very average. True, he did get shifted out on the wing a lot but he didn't impress me much.

Plus he sounds like a first class *.

After the Barca goal I thought when he played he was usually one of our best players on the park and definitely the hardest working.

I think after that goal people though he was going to start banging in goals left, right and centre but he was benched for the next game then never got that much of a look in after that.

Tony Watt is a class, young player who needs to stay at this club.

Some very good points made here about his attitude and that his arrogance is something that can be used to his and our advantage. Arrogance is not a quality anyone should advocate in how we treat other people in any interaction. But in sport, that's a different matter all together.

Treat the opposition like they're weak, like they're going to get beat. And they'll start to believe it. Use these qualities in him to turn him into a beast. He's got so much potential and when was the last time we had a class Scottish striker playing for us?

Tony Watt says he is Celtic mad, I just hope our current staff don't turn him away from the club he loves so much.

Watt should come back into the squad. If you play 2 strikers up front and keep 2 on the bench then you have Watt, Stokes, Pukki, Fridjonsson and Balde to fight for those 4 spots on the pitch/bench.

    Loan out Atajic. SELL Bangura.

I think if Lierse sent him back then it would be the worst thing for him. Couldn't see Lennon tolerating him being sent back. Hopefully he kicks on and makes himself a regular at Lierse and proves how good he is.

He took two very good goals last time out for Lierse, he has to kick on from there and aim for around 8-10 goals in the second half of the season.

I do believe he will do well and come back next season as our #1 striker.

Think we need to know what this young lads problem is ...if any. He either ships up or ships out. The football player's lifestyle should be a good one. but say what the issue is here

Watt to go it alone to beat Lierse injury risk

Celtic will not allow Tony Watt even to train with them during his winter break from Lierse - in case he gets injured.

The striker has been given permission to work on his fitness in the gym at Lennoxtown while he is home for the holidays.

Watt scored twice in Lierse's final game before their festive shutdown after coming on as sub against local rivals Mechelen.

Despite this, his future with the Belgian side he joined on a season's loan at the end of August, and where he has endured a difficult relationship with coach Stanley Menzo is still very much up in the air.

Watt was pictured warming up with the rest of the Celtic first team last week.

But Lennon has moved quickly explain the 20-year-old is not actually training with Scott Brown and Co. because, technically, he is a Lierse player and there would be issues if anything happened to him.

Lennon said: "Tony is still registered with Lierse until the end of the season. They can't send him back unless we take him back."

"He is using the gym facilities at Lennoxtown, but he is obviously not training with us because we can't run that risk. We will assess his situation as the month goes on."

It annoys me that if Watt was here and even used as a super sub he would still get about 10 goals this season.

How about assessing our situation, Lennon? We're not scoring goals, yet we have a natural finisher * about with a Belgian mid-table outfit.

That's actually very encouraging, he's on a break from his current club and back home and putting in a shift at the gym. Considering all the rumours that have been going about and from what Menzo has said it's very encouraging, are we beginning to see an attitude change?

This is exactly what we're looking for. I imagine our staff have had enough conversation with him to encourage and motivate him to be the best he can be. Push himself to excel physically and go back to Belgium with a renewed vigour, bang some goals in and come back into our team going into next seasons CL qualifiers.

I think the performances of our current strikers are more than enough to motivate Tony to train harder as he must know he will be in with a very good shout of playing regularly for us once he comes back.

With the way our team is performing at present I'd have liked to see Watt brought back this month. Thus far he's made five or so starts for Lierse, which is poor. He will probably make as many starts for them from January onwards as he would for us in the SPFL.
