He's right there are a lot of Italians in Milan. You should learn some Italian before you go.

Don't drive, the roads in Italy are mental.

Was in Milan in February great city though it was freezing! A was drunk practically the whole time so couldn't even tell u where we stayed:smiley-laughing002: But its really easy to get around though its expensive so take a lot of money. Most places with bars are also restaurants. Look up some British bars that are there obviously cheaper. We went to one showed all the British games and pints were reasonably cheap. Good laugh, great friendly people. And the burds:52: if you're single then you'll love the nightclubs, if not.... split up with her

A lovely city as long as you are not a perceived West African immigrant.

Enjoy yourself - Prices aren't high. Stay in the city centre.

Stayed in Milan before, few cracking big buildings, but found some of the locals pretty intimatating because we were football fans, they don't like fans invading their city, I stayed in a part called viale monza, got a lot of bad stares and cars pulling up to us and pointing over, but if your there for tourism, you should have a good trip!

Also says on wiki that 'Italian' is the primary language in the city.
