The Club had NO choice in this matter. We as a Club were facing sanctions if action was not taken against Section 111. I go to support my team and if no Green Brigade then it won't make a difference to me.

100% correct JP. All we need to do is look across at Sevconians and see a company in a mess. We as a Football Club are much bigger than a group of supporters.

That group of supporters are the best, most passionate fans that Celtic have. The dwindling crowds will now become pathetically low and about as lively as the cemetery outside. The other fans only make a peep of noise at European nights (also when they actually turn up with any consistency.)
It's bad enough they inflict macabre war-loving right wing British customs onto the fans, now they are forcing the fans whom encapsulate what's good about Celtic fans out as to devolve into just another souless, neatly-fitting establishment club and business there to make maximum money for shareholders.
The arrogance of these rich people lucky enough to be working for our club is astonishing. The smoke bombs is about the only thing they have a point about in terms of things being dangerous.

It's also a good distraction as well from the fact we've taken in an absolute fortune this last year, and spent just 2 million. Meanwhile over £4 million is for a promising young striker is deemed too much - * we just got that for a striker with less than ayearleft o his contract!? Celtic placate idiot fans by pointing at the tragic comedy of club across the city as if that justifies how much of a profit making organisation we've turned into.

Really disgusted with the direction this club is going, but heartened by the fact many fans feel the same way and won't simply swallow this *.

Fucksake, some if the posts on here are seriously a new low in terms of stupidity :smiley-laughing002:

I like the green brigade, the atmosphere that they create and the displays, but if the things that have been said about them are true (tearing up seats, repeatedly ignoring warnings etc) then they had it coming.

The only function the GB had was to exist to the benefit of Celtic. It stops doing that and it's time for it to go.

Talk about boycotting and Lawell out? :56: absolute madness!

Some people come across as fans/members of the GB more than Celtic fans. It's worth remembering that the GB itself is nothing tangible, just a collection of like minded fans.

So the rest of them must be groupies.:56:
To be fair the gb and other in that section do have other stuff going on that fans in the rest of the ground don't.
To act outside the rules then claim to being victimised judt does not add up.

    i agree not,

bothered reading through all the posts ,but we have been warned about flares for while and also stupid things dating back to the udinese game a couple of years ago.

flares and all the stupid mentality some in the GB have ,have no place in football imo, but the other flip of the coin is that there is no question that the atmosphere they create at games is ecound to none by songs and chants

    You tell me?

I don't know the exact figure, but I reckon there's about 2500 seats in that section..............I know for a fact the GB don't come anywhere near that with members :smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::rolleyes:

The GB are and were more than just a group of fans.

The political and moral vehicle which they instigated will live long after me or you my friend.

To expel this group with such disregard for the well being of the club smacks of ignorance and stupidity.

Fear the coming years, they will be quiet trophy-less ones

    ok, i'll bite.

are you serious? fair enough Gershon has served in the IDF, but then so do all Israeli Jews (apart from the ultra-orthodox). And as for Kayal, he's an Arab who has openly applauded fans waving the Palestinian flag on more than one occasion.

and before i get accused of being some Zionist mouthpiece, go read some of my posts in the H+P section, or look the left of this post and notice my avatar is the PFLP flag
