Disagree with the decision (although hearing rumours that its only another warning rather than a closure of section 111) But i'll not be boycotting. I am a Celtic supporter. I support the team on the park. I want to see them be successful. I want trophies and European games exciting new signings. By boycotting, I am removing my support for the 11 men in green and white who had nothing to do with the decision.

Don't get me wrong, I believe the fans should also support each other, but not by boycotting the games. This is not the solution.

I support the GB but won't be boycotting as I've not long paid 400 quid for a season ticket

Sounds as if you've been reading/heard too many over-used cliche's. 'Uncle Pete' 'rope to hang themselves'.

Long and short of it is they did 'hang' themselves and they have no one else to blame but themselves.

I honestly couldn't care less what they laugh at,their club already has fallen to bits and went into non-existence,and their new shambles of a club is currently imploding,* them.

laughable ?? Haha boycotting the team you love isnt laughable , no ? why would you support a boycott against your own club? As I said before, its not as if they have banned the GB from the stadium, they have just seperated them because they act like children and anytime the board have a meeting with them to discuss anything, they do the whole "oh the big boy done it n ran away ... Wasn't me" act. they take no responsibility for their actions and anytime something doesn't go their way, the make a big fuss about it. Acting like waynes. This has been coming for a while. N you can tell the GB think they hold the cards because of the atmosphere they bring. Well in reality, must not be that much pull if the board shut use down.

don't know about you but I go to parkhead to watch Celtic, not the GB.

The only thing the club will listen to is a loss of money.

This decision is not only going to split the GB but will also split all fans so i dont see how anyone can say this will be a positive thing. Personally i wont be going to any games unless this is reversed, pathetic treatment towards the GB

Ok I think I misunderstood what you meant. Yes I agree the GB are fantastic for the atmosphere. Where I disagree is that I think the club will survive without them.

Money that goes to improving the team on the park, to paying players and staff wages. By deliberately setting out to cause the Club a financial hit, how are you in any way supporting Celtic.

Listen, i do get where you are coming from, I just disagree that it's the right thing to do. Its a lose lose situation for the fans. I'd be happy to partake in any other form of protest, just not a boycott. There must be other routes to go down first.

My impression of the GB is that they see themselves as more an institution than a fan club. There's no doubting that they bring atmosphere in spades, but they seem to me to think they deserve special treatment, mass exemption from basic rules (rules which Celtic have to enforce). And whenever they get penalized they throw the dummy out.
So Celtic have finally clamped down and now they want a boycott? * off, I say. You formed a group and created atmosphere for the fun of it, and for the good of Celtic. To demand to be above the rules is like emotional blackmail in a relationship.

Boycotting is not the right way to go how many times the gb tried that and it hasnt worked show support for the gb at the games by banners of ur own from the 1st to the 11th minute simply chant green brigade christ do something at the stadium to support them and more importantly the team we all love rather than lettin the board get under ur skin. The board and the gb are lockin horns and both need to wise up and come to an agreement afterall we r Celtic (fans and board) and we need to be on par with on another. Flares fireworks and other things like that that will be seen as a H&S risk will be banned and theres nothing we can do to stop it sayin sure look at inter milan or whoever they get away with it isnt a good enough arguement we have our own rules and stips to adhere to. If u constantly breech the laws of any establishment be it a pub or a ground u will be dealt with by the ppl who up hold the 'law' and u either stop or get turfed out regardless of how frequent a punter you are. I love the atmosphere the green brigade bring and ill be * gutted if these rumours r true of them bein disbanded but if it happens it happens a sad but true state of affairs is that the board are in control and what they say seems to go. Support the gb support our team and lets get past this bullshit we have a european tie comin up and our players need to be worried about the opposition not how our fans will or wont be there

    Laugh at what?

Their team is *, they have a clueless manager that they can't afford to sack, their messiah has walked away and their new club is about to implode.

Sure their all laughing at us though. :smiley-laughing002:

Lets take the GB label from them for a minute, they are fans like you and me
And should not be treated the way they have.

One of the reasons I did not renew,as at Celtic park the board, the council, the police
Who ever it may be They do not care for you,one bit.

All they want is your money

We should back them all the way.

I would be all for a boycott.

does this not prove enough with your statement? Celtic fans divided all because of this spitting out the dummy carry on. I don't hate the GB, I just don't like how they act as if they hold the cards because of the atmosphere they bring. That and the fact that they never own up to anything their section have done which makes people resent them. I know it made me feel that way. Last week GB were claiming our board were lying about the damage to the seats and that the flares and fireworks were nothing to do with them. Ayee right! If they handled things differently then this wouldn't be happening. hense why I said they should have hired a PR manager because their statements were red hot.

If they are fans like me how come I can manage to support my favourite team without suffering police persecution and oppression? Same applies for every Celtic fan I know

I would be gutted if we lost the board we have because they decide they just can't be arsed with such nonsense

what reason would PL have to destroy the GB if they are so important to the Celtic support? Don't think PL would just attack GB for nothing. This is what I'm talking about. No one taking responsibility for their actions. I'm getting sick of hearing it so I can imagine what uncle Pete was thinking.

Are You implying that everybody must be the same,go to the stadium sit, watch and leave like machines

You would have par taken in there songs, there displays, the huddle, cross stadium chanting without them Celtic park is a morgue.
