Yes ofcourse i agree with it. If you play, and try to knock out your own team, then you deserve the booing.

The fake elbow issue is irrelevant and I have no particular problem with others booing him after it.

Booing him from the start is not a good reflection on us. What alternative did the boo-boys want? Should he have faked an injury? Locked himself inthe jacks pre-match?

    Nonsense.

Had his best game at CP last night BTW

He got booed because that's what football fans do. It was inevitable that it would happen.

He was * awful last night, utterly woeful.

Aye seen the video on youtube this morning.
Stuff like that sickens me, if anyone tried that on a GAA pitch they would get the living * kicked out of them, and rightly so.

Not that far gone in GAA yet thank Ghod, rugby the same. It will come though.

Still there's a fair few lads go down in the Championship in Croker with broken legs that are grand after the "magic sponge"

It comes to all sport eventually, and regretfully

I've seen some ex-deadco players get a better reception than BangBang Bangura tbh

We should invite him to unfurl the flag so we can atone for our mistake.

The weirdest bit I saw about Banguera was when he got a security escort off their team bus last night! The other players went and got there bags from under the bus, he had 2 bouncers hide him! Really not worthy of that attetion. No doubting he is not a great player, but he still has the 2nd leg to put one in the pokey for them all the same!

At least in Gealic/Hurling it is a hardy challenge tho, they may be putting it on a bit but nowhere near as bad as soccer.

We should have had it in the loan agreement that he couldn't play against us, we knew it was a possibility we could draw Elfsborg in the qualifiers. We didn't put it in and they decided to play him, technically there's nothing wrong with that and the booing was a bit over the top IMO.

its not his fault he was loaned and allowed to play in the CL though, it's not his fault. He's just trying to impress.

Didn't agree with it at the start, but after the Wilson thing I was * raging scummy *, hope Wilson lays one on him early in the 2nd leg

    +1

I booed him - and rightly so - after he tried to get Wilson sent off!

I might be wrong here, but i didnt think UEFA allowed that clause in non domestic loan arrangements...

    Anyone clarify this?

    UEFA don't allow it.

If it's the same league each individual FA can allow it if they wish, cross-country though it's a 'gentlemans agreement'

As others have said, booing was inevitable. He definitely deserved boos for his diving antics and it was a bit harsh booing him from the start (I was one of them), but that's football. His attitude when arriving at the club was never going to be good PR, and trying to knock out your own club was also going to encourage boos.

From Bangura and Elfsborg's perspective, I'm not surprised he played. I would have done the same in their position. As a player you're always going to want to prove your worth, especially against the club you weren't good enough for.
