The odd thing is that there is merits to your feelings but posting * like this doesnt help your case.

I am dead against what is going on as well and hate the * buts they are one particular group of people and have nothing in common with the vast majority of "Eastern Europeans" as you put it, culturally or in behaviour.

For a start Roma are a stateless race who originate from India, just happened that they settled in Eastern Europe and in many cases Romania, they have Romanian passports but share little in common with the rest of the population!

    I'm not picky.
Agree. I've actually given money to the odd beggar before but with more and more scams being started by people it kind of makes you think twice about giving any money to anyone because you never know if they are a true homeless person or a scam merchant.

funny u posted this, I just watched a BBC documentary on beggers in London. They were watching these woman and children and they would bring out the children to beg for about 12 hours on end. There was a big group of the woman and their kids and they were getting recorded off the crew for months and would be seen running away when the cops would appear, the kids eating leftovers people would leave on restaurant tables, the mums counting money. Then to top it off, they'd travel home to a house with a BMW x5 in the drive way. They also lived very well In their home towns in Romania I believe.

their trick was the kids and dressing up as islamics because Islamics are apparently very charitable. The kids would wear Islamic clothes but when one of the mothers wasn't watching, a child told the camera man they were Romainian (I think) then asked the mother n she lied.

    its big business.

Yes a few documentaries have emerged that are very accurate but to be honest this has been going on for many, many years over Europe, its only since Romanian passport holders have had the right to walk into the UK visa free it has become an epidemic, they had to take drastic steps in places like Prague and Budapest as central areas became no go zones due to their activity.

I was in Bologna in Italy about 10 years ago and had a fight with some * that tried to * my bag, they hung about the ticket machines at the train station all day and every day looking for prey, normally older people who could not defend themselves.

Compared with Italy and France we get it quite easy from them!

Feel free to explain your post then.

From where I'm sitting it looks as though you're implying that the criticism being posted here about the group in question is down to their status as immigrants, and that if they weren't immigrants we wouldn't be as critical.

I simply pointed out an instance where a non-immigrant who was also scamming the public in a similar way was getting just as much, if not more criticism.

If I'm reading you completely wrong I'll apologise, of course.

Seriously? If you've been reading this forum for any amount of time you'll know fine well that the Government, the armed forces, the US, the EU and all of the people in power are widely criticised for their actions.

Virtually every day there are threads created which condemn and discuss the actions of the people in charge of this country.

As for them being allowed to remain in power, I think you'll find that those running the UK were voted into power by the people. I don't necessarily like it either, but that's how things go in a democracy I guess.

Saying that, if you want to don a military jumpsuit and start a revolution then feel free. I'm not sure how much support you'll get though.

    Yawn.

Usually because their own country is a * heap, and they can make more money in a week in the UK than they could by doing the same thing at home for a month, that's why.

Our ancestors in the UK, both native and immigrant, built the UK from the ground up through hard work and perseverance. We didn't wake up one day and the NHS and welfare system had just appeared, it was created through intelligence and hard work.

It wasn't created by standing on the street with our hands out, expecting someone else to provide for us, that's for sure.

With the EU entry to the UK being ridiculously lax compared to other EU nations these beggars/conmen see an easy target, and who can blame them? If you leave your front door lying open long enough someone will eventually take advantage.

I agree. You're not liberal, you're an apologist. If a group or persons agenda includes the ripping off of British people, bashing of British values, murdering of British armed forces or even civilians you can be sure that you'll be there to defend them.

I like to think that you're simply a gimmick, looking to get a rise from people (as a few others on here do regularly), but I have my doubts.

Not everyone ignores the conditions that some people face in their home countries, especially not me, but that simply doesn't excuse criminal behaviour.

When someone leaves their home country to come to another country, and that person is prepared to work hard, pay into the system and become a valuable member of that society then I'm 100% behind them.

The people we're talking about here, however, aren't to be considered in the same group as those I mentioned there.

So you agree that something has to be done about it then? Or are we to simply applaud these characters as champions of the free market or some other nonsense?

Of course there are genuine people in need, and people dying because they live in bad conditions.

What do you suggest the UK does though? Open the doors wide and welcome them all into the benefit system?

The way the UK treats citizens of fellow EU nations is as close to that as your going to get without buying a red carpet and rolling the * out at the border.

Hold on, aren't these criminal gangs simply doing what other bosses and CEO's within the Capitalist system do? They take advantage of their workforce. That's how the free market works, right? They should be applauded, no?

Or does that nonsense only apply when it's the regular British Joe on the street who's being duped and conned?

Most to do with Britain for me is controversial. I do not support groups such as Al Qaeda or the Taliban - Just because I don't shed a tear when a Brit dies does not make me an apologist. I am not British and I do not share the values of the British people - I do live in Britain and probably much to your surprise socialise with British people.

Yes - you've said it many times before. It's not getting you anywhere. Your posts are very aggressive most of time. If creating a thread on beggars and branding them scum isn't looking for a rise, then I don't what is.

I personally will not waste my time bullying the weak - Those on the streets begging are not the beneficiaries. Targeting them will do nothing but cause more suffering upon them.

I don't care what Britain does - Any policy that will see it and it's Saxon prevalence go to the dogs I will support.

Yes in your world they should be applauded. In my world they should be dealt with all the same. No pandering.

I'm talking about comparisons though Dhaibi. On a scale of the amount of damage a begger has done to you compared with the damage the ruling class has, why are they both being treated quite similarly. It's called scapegoating. Like you quite rightly mention, surprising that folk have not already donned military jumpsuits and started a revolution.

Your "yawn" comment is quite funny. How much * are you willing to take? Serious question, at what point would you yourself say enough is enough? Your posts come across as very pacifist when it comes to what those in power have done but when it is ordinary people who have done something questionable you seem to relish in the chance to mouth off about them.

    Why is this?

What do you mean treated similarly? This is an internet forum. All we can do is type words, so there is no way of treating one instance differently from another.

If you see a topic that takes your interest you post your opinion on it. It's really that simple. When someone posted that the Government were forcing people to work for their jobseekers money I was interested in the subject, and I disagreed with the idea, so I posted my views on it. I was critical of the Government, and posted opinion to that effect.

On this occasion, much like the situation regarding the so-called £50,000 beggar from London, I consider them to be useless, layabout, lazy conmen. I think they're nothing more than a drain on society and they provide nothing of worth to the greater good.

It's not really surprising at all though, is it? Honestly? I mean, this is hardly 1960's South America, is it? We're crying about our rights to surf the * internet being infringed, not being oppressed by a military junta!

The only people who are even remotely interested in such nonsense are those who can be found at extreme left-wing political meetings. You know the type, I'm sure you've seen them as much as I have. The rather strange character with the oily hair, trousers that are too short, and who wears socks with sandals. They can recite, word for word, most of State And Revolution by Lenin but they can't seem to hold down a job or pay taxes for any amount of time.

I'll say enough is enough when the Government start actually affecting my, and most other ordinary citizens lives in a very negative way. Asking me to opt in if I wish to have access to material for a quiet * when the wife is asleep isn't quite the tipping point personally.

One thing is for sure though, when I reach that point I'll hope that my anger and frustration drives me to do something a bit more constructive than fire up my laptop and hammer some keys on a football internet forum.

It's because I secretly work for "the man" :86:

I'm clued up enough to know the reason why most of these migrants actively avoid most other EU nations on their way to the UK.

"I'll say enough is enough when the Government start actually affecting my, and most other ordinary citizens lives in a very negative way"

For me that sums up your reply.

Atos, the Bedroom Tax, benefit cuts, legal aid cuts, the treatment of asylum seekers by UKBA detention centres, the murder of millions across the world, killer cops being allowed to walk free and millionaires continuing to live in luxury while the majority of this world do not have access to clean water.

Is that not enough? Or are the victims of these things not "ordinary people" ?

On a global sense I would agree with you. But on a domestic level the cost of propping up people on welfare costs far more than the royal family or rich people. Millionaires have little impact on my life and the royal family costs me about 40p a year. Our benefit culture costs tax payers thousands of pounds each every year. That is why people care more.

(And the bedroom tax isn't a tax. Only in this country does less free money equate to a tax)

got asked yesterday at Buchanan bus station for money for the bus home because hes stranded, told the guy i had no change , because i genuinely didnt, then by a different one, told him the same.

few minutes later i was asked by the first guy again, this time it was to get a bag of chips for his dinner, then about 10 minutes later the two of them walk away together, both cups full of change.

i dont really give money to beggars, iv had the ones who threaten you for change and it puts you off even talking to them.
