At the end of the day, if a few * wee English club's supporters hate us, who gives a *?

Our reputation worldwide far exceeds the likes of Brentford, Sunderland, and all that garbage. If they want to make false rumours up about our supporters because they have nothing better to do, let them. Small club mentality, always talking about the big boys.

It's not just the little clubs, though. I've always had a fondness for Liverpool going back many, many years.; but having seen what many of their fans have been writing about us today, I think that may well have changed for good. :54:

Their fault if they don't want to wait for actual proof to surface before commenting. The singing supposedly happened yesterday afternoon, yet here we are still waiting for one little bit of audio.

My sole interest in football always has been, and always will be, Celtic. What some fans of English clubs spout online is irrelevant to me.

I commend yous all for spinning this into ridiculing the numpties who are trying their upmost to damage our reputation but it still hurts to hear our club being targetted like this and every tom, * and ally throwing their 2 sense in about us cos of some walloper with a keyboard shouting his mouth off about something he apparently videod. A video thats yet to surface I might add.

Same way I feel. Now fans of various clubs will have a reason to dislike us, all based on the lies of a hurting Hun. I can't sit here and pretend it doesn't frustrate me, obviously it's not the end of the world but still, it angers me.

Its very frustrating we are not a club that prides ourselves on the "no one likes us we dont care" mentality. I for one like hearing outsiders speak kind words about Celtic and I hate our name being dragged through the dirt where as I think Sevco thrive on being * it suits them as a club and as people.

I don't really care all that much, and I don't use twitter or facebook or anything like that so I have no idea what is being said there, nor do I care.

What I would say though, and no doubt I will be criticised for it, is that when the Green Brigade start bleating about how the police target them and how oppressed they all are in a few weeks, the police will simply point to games like this. Flares in the crowd and being thrown onto the pitch meaning the game had to stop on a couple of occasions, fans running on the pitch to stop interfere with the game, and people swinging from the cross bar after full time, are all obvious ways to get your fan base noted by people trying to police football games.

It didn't seem violent or malicious so I have no issue with it (although I do think throwing flares onto the pitch is idiotic and dangerous) But at the same time when the police to focus on fans who behave in such ways I don't think anyone should really have any complaints either.

I spent some time in Liverpool in the late 90's and I would say it is the same as pretty much another English city in as much as there are plenty of Liverpool fans have no interest either way in Celtic. Plenty who have a fondness for Celtic and plenty who are going to dislike Celtic whatever.

I didn't look at the Liverpool forums yesterday but I did look at a few and tbh it looked to me like it was pretty obvious the people that were desparate to believe the rumours about Celtic fans. Alot of them very quickly slipped into anti-Irish and anti-Scottish racism. I saw anyone questioning the rumours or asking for proof been dismissed as "the usual left wing trade unionists"

However on every forum I looked on there were people who challenged these posters and asked for proof of any wrongdoing by Celtic fans.

Have to be honest I am very much in the I couldn't really care less what the fans of other teams think of us camp but if anyone watched SkySports News or saw anything on the internet and wants to discuss it at work tomorrow I am quite happy to discuss it with them.

The internet and the 'love us, love us' bed wetting roasters in our support care.

I am proud as punch of our away support - even on half our day I'd be surprised if anyone on these shores can come close to us. Absolutely wild, looney support on our travels and not in a violent way.

What makes it all the more remarkable is when you consider the * we have had to put up with over the past year due to this new law and the nonsense like Dens Park. It would have been easier for us to falter, and I am sure that's what the expectation was, but instead we have went the other way it ripped the absolute * out of it and ranked it up a few notches. Roll on Sweden.

I was at wembley for the Ireland game in may, everyone had a few drinks made loads of noise and green flares where thrown on the pitch, nobody cared, I really don't understand the mock outrage that is going on here

I have asthma - and it acts up around the smoke. I don't mind it in CP cause I know where i'll be sitting and where they'll , generally, go off but I avoid away games/Hampden games.
