Got my card this morning and a bottle of Cool Water, took the wean to the park, and then back for a wee cargo. My older bhoys are making me tortizzas later.

It's no a bad wee day really.

Got my cards this morning, along with a picture of me and my oldest boy in a frame he made at nursery and Thorntons chocs and toffee, plus a wee gift from the wife :icon_mrgreen:.

Only downside to the day was having to visit my wee boys's grave. Would just love to have him here too.

That's really sad mate. I don't know much about it but I've seen you mention him a few times.

I've been thinking about my old man myself, no doubt as the night wears on I'll play some of his favourite tunes and have a wee moment.

Not seen my dad yet because he's working away.

Was going to send him a text but i don't know if "Happy Father's Day!" is a bit insensitive considering he just lost his dad last week.
    hmm...

Might just leave it and see him when he gets back. He's never been one for fathers day anyway.

Bit of a bitter sweet day for you. I'm sure it makes you cherish everything a little bit more.

1st one since my dad passed away in February.

Never really did much the last few years because of his condition, just took him some sweets usually, so doesn't feel much different this year.

Got my dad a card and sweets. He complained that he couldn't eat the sweets because he's on a diet and then he moaned about the card. Don't know why I bother:smiley-laughing002:

Went to the pub for lunch with the wife and kids, although we did have to drag my 16 year old out of his pit to get him to go.
Like Paul we went via the cemetry as our eldest girl is no longer with us (cant believe she'd be 17 now)
My old man died 30 years ago, ironically on Fathers Day, so no doubt I shall raise a glass to him later.

Went up to the grave earlier, that's the 3rd Father's day without him, managed to finally get a stone to lay down as there wasn't space left on the original one there which was nice seen as it's father's day, got an empty house for a bit so I thought I'd listen tae some of his songs

3 years gone my old man this year, we weren't particularly close, but I always raise a wee glass on days like today, think it's only right.

    Go to Heidelberg, great place!

Dont really do anything for Fathers Day, loads of birthdays/anniversaries near this time anyway
