Bands you really dislike

I think so too.
I thought their last album was horrific but i don't mind the rest of their stuff.
Plus Brandon seems like a decent fella and he's a good frontman.

Their latest album is pretty mediocre/pish but they have some excellent songs.

 

Love the Pixies,got every album.None of them had anywhere near an impact as Nirvana had.As for music genres,to me theres a handfull,it just start getting silly and ridiculous when people start loads of sub genres so Nirvana are metal to me.

 

Metallica and U2. Those two bands I just absolutely cannot help but despise.

 

I hated Infected Mushroom with passion once. Then i ate magic mushrooms and listened to it and all of a sudden it was the best stuff i have heared. Long time ago though, and now i hate that music again.

Biffy, just don't understand how people think it's good.

 

I love biffy clyro, one of my favourite bands. I prefer their first three albums but puzzle, only revolution and opposites are all outstanding albums aswell. Absolutely quality band who have really worked like dogs to get where they are today.

 

Kings of Leon, Coldplay and Mumford and Sons. Absolute *.

 

Slipknot. Absolute garbage.

 

I can understand why people don't like them but they're one of my favourite bands ever. Fantastic music when you're full of rage and running it all off.

I agree regarding Metallica.

I love so many of the bands that would be considered Metallica's biggest influences. But like most thrash metal bands they just seem to take themselves far too seriously. I just think they are ridiculous.

U2 at least had a couple of decent albums a long time ago before they made a career writing advert music.

For me, "landfill indie" is rubbish but I wouldnt say I hate it. It is just mediocre. Coldplay and Keane are the two obvious ones. If these kind of bands were about in the 1970s I think they would be lower-card fringe bands that not many people would have heard of. I think bands like Kaizer Chiefs, the View, etc, wouldnt have even progressed beyond their local pub scene. It isnt really the fault of these bands but the standard now is just so low that it really doesnt take all the much to get a bit of hype.

And the typical pop-hip-hop stuff you get in the charts isnt even worthy of discussion. It is just Diahhrea, but not really offensive enough that I care about it or even know anyone who makes this type of stuff.

I sound like an old man but I think popular music is a dying art. Inevitable really. Still there is more than enough diamonds to find from the last 100 years to keep my love of music alive.

Never really listened to The Beatles until recently, it`s now my favourite "Running Music".

Boyband and like-minded Girlbands burst my box along with Rap Music.

Also that * Pitbull, What`s that all about!!!

 

Oasis bored the life out me. Hate the Gallaghers.
