The price of making all this stuff has went down big time. The maximum should be £300.

And why do the US get it at £320 if 430 is such good value?

Oh aye thats right. Still works out about £100 more expensive in Europe than the States.

You're honestly going to allow a difference of £100 to decide which games machine you go for?

are you trying to make out that one costing 100£ less doesn't make a difference?

I'm saying that if the Xbox One is the machine I really wanted, I wouldn't simply go for the Playstation 4 because of a price difference of £100.

Plus the £40 gold membership, so £140 less for what is a better built machine. Plus ps4 will have lots of exclusive games to get excited for as well. I've always favoured the 360 over the ps3 but I think I'll be switching.

I've yet to make a solid decision, but from what I've seen thus far it's the Xbox One for me I think, regardless of the price.

I get you, I'm in the position of not knowing what one to go for, so that price pushes is towards getting the PS4 for me.

Doubt ps4 will be that cheap anyway, is that GDDR5 thing not meant to be dear as * on its own?.

What would the reason for it being a £100 more expensive for us over here be? There must be a reason, surely they aren't just chancing their arm at fleecing us hoping no one would convert the currencies?

Under the £500 mark I am happy with, paying £100 more for the same product here than America, Im not happy with.

I imagine the price will drop a fair bit before Christmas. They'll have it priced higher at release, cashing in on the hardcore gamers, then drop it to appeal to the casual gamers at Christmas.

Are there going to be any region restrictions with this console? If not then just get it shipped over from abroad or buy one abroad yourself.

Microsoft must figure that enough people will pay that (initially at least) for it to be profitable.

I certainly would have no issue paying it, but I can understand that others would perhaps think twice.

You don't think they'll have Christmas bundles priced up a week or two before the 25th of the month?
