It wasn't met as a dig, just always hear the same thing every year and it's always three players. It's probably true each time just seems we as a club never actually find these three quality players that we need.

Even when we do find quality i think that further highlights the short comings elsewhere so we go back to being three players short.

I've never heard of that before? :97:

The number of three was from my opinion on basically the spine of the team - only needing to sign one quality player for def/mid/att.

We need another left back back of decent quality at least, and quite possibly one or two more (depending on who leaves).

I want a fast winger like Forrest. He's injured too much. Also another striker who can knock 30+ a season. A left back and a replacement Wanyama if he goes.

I really hope not. I think we should be aiming to sign someone younger, who will have a re-sale value. We have McCourt so there's no need to sign another benchwarmer.

I doubt we'll sign Faddy, doesn't fit with our signing policy.

I see you watched the chelsea basel game yesterday. I was also impressed with salah but hes probably out of our price range considering he plays for basel who must be loaded after the players they have sold for massive fees recently.

yeah i have been very impressed with a lot of the basel players from what i have seen, you may well be right with salah as there are other big clubs tracking him. as for serey die i think he is very physical and would be a great addition i dunno what the price tag would be tho?

I kinda knew somebody would jump on this and state the obvious. For sure free transfers of players from the top world leagues, they go to clubs and can command high wages, but not necessarily guys from lower leagues.

I'm not saying sign them because Rangers are gonna sign them, i'm saying sign them because they are decent enough players and there is no risk really.

Cheap wages, short term deals, bring in say five and see how they get on.
Add to this young talent from the continent and we're jamming.

Like it or lump it, The Rangers (or whatever they're cried) will be back in 2 seasons with a team filled with all the best free transfers available this Summer. We will look to the continent, and all these guys, Jon Daly, the boys from Motherwell, the goalie from Kilmarnock, etc. I'm telling ye, they are gonna build a team that's gonna be not far off the pace when they get back up the league.

So you mean, Sevco will have a team of players who right now can't beat Celtic, yet in 3 years time when they're even older and *, will somehow be able to beat us?

    :56::56::56::56::56::56:

The New Rangers will never win the league. I'm telling you. NEVER. They are utterly * from top to bottom. The only slight chance they had was if they had sacked everyone from the old club and started truly from scratch, employing good scouts and coaches and just playing teenagers. They * up their second chance though and no amount of over-the-hill SPL players can save them.
And all the while, Celtic will continue racking up Champions League money and experience. We are so far ahead of them it is not even worth thinking about.

Should sign jonny Russell would like to see mcgeouch play attacking midfielder in the remaining games but don't think we will see that when Lenny is playing him at right back

Hopefully we will be miles ahead financially, hence why adding the odd freebie on cheap wages helps.

SEVCO just won the third division at an absolute canter, even with a transfer embargo. As soon as the embargo is lifted, it's going to be easy for them to build a good team on the cheap, this time next year they'll be heading to the first division. If you think SEVCO won't ever be back challenging for the SPL title you're way off the mark.

Right now is a chance to turn the screw and make life a bit harder for them.

I would say we are 8 quality players off of being a decent team
    A goalie 3 defenders 2 midfielders and 2 forwards

We could do worse than get Sean Maloney back here, I reckon he would rip up the spl.

And yes in watching MOTD just now.....

with his form down in england i agree but it would be just our luck that he would end up on the treatment table for his entire spell here.

can't argue with the original.post. Been the same for years. Need a dominator front and back. Need that Lubo spark.

When i say dominator i don't mean some talentless hun-esk thug.
