I think he'd give us what we hoped Miku would, but where Miku hasn't adapted (or been given the chance to adapt, we know Doyle wouldn't have that problem.

It wouldn't be the worst thing if we sold Hooper and got Doyle.

Aye that is an absolutely * dreadful record. He's probably less prolific than Daryl Murphy.

We wouldn't score anywhere near as many goals mate. I hope we sign a proven SPL goal scorer that will bang in 20-25 goals a season for us.

Right now we actually don't need a 20 to 25 a season man. The league is a procession and we'll win it anyway. I reckon what we need is to make sure we get to the CL and when we get there stay in it as long as possible and win as many points as possible. To do that it would be no harm to add one or two experienced heads to the squad. I can see why Lenny would be interested in Kevin Doyle.

It's a fair point. Will you be happy with a direct swap though? Hooper out, Doyle in? I won't to be honest. He will probably score, 10-12 goals per season if he's very lucky. The guys finishing is * poor, and you will see that when/if he signs. Said it about 5 or 6 times on this thread, I wouldn't mind seeing the guy brought in to sit in behind the centre forward as he's a good number 10 link up player, the guy is never a centre forward in his life though.

I expect that Hooper will be gone anyway. Doyle is a different type to Hooper. His form very recently has picked up a good bit. He scored again last night in a 1 -0 win over Hull who are likely candidates for promotion. He has scored 8 goals in the championship this season and was out injured and out of form earlier in the season.

I'd say Lenny will like to get him - he has said it openly that he'd like to sign him - but he mightn't get him because Doyle is an experienced player and will get plenty of offers if Wolves want to sell. We'll do well to get Doyle, he could make a big contribution especially in Europe.

He was the main Forward in a team that has been relegated twice in 18 months. No thanks.

Doesn't score anywhere near enough goals for me to be first choice striker, which his wages will surely dictate happens.

Don't think he'd be a bad option to have around the squad but I can't see him being happy to sit on the bench and his wages will be too high to do so anyway.

Seems to be how lennon opperates tho, he is arguably a championship standard player now assigned to a league 1 club. Not that I'm a huge fan of him

I would argue he's now a league one player for a reason.

Has played well for Ireland over the years. Much better striker than Stokes who couldn't even make the squad. Would be a decent addition at the right price
