Anyone a fan of the Tiger? Always found him to be an inspiration after watching him play golf for many years.

The scandal aside, I still hope to see him break the Major record one day and with a victory at the WGC Cadillac Championship it's looking good for him.

I feel the complete opposite.Great player, but i want Nicklaus to retain the record.A giant of a human being and a complete ambassador for the game.
Im not a fan of Woods!

If he wins this weekend he's back to number 1. I think he may be running out of time to beat Jack's record, the majors seem to spread to a lot of different players these days and he still has a good way to go to beat the record.

Unless it is an extreme situation like Lance Armstrong, I keep athlete's personal life apart from their actual job. I think the whole Tiger thing was blown out of proportion because he was meant to be this uber role model. I love the guy, he is unbelievable at what he does. Hope he breaks the record, but not sure he will.

I like the guy and think his personal life is his business.

That being said, Jack Nicklaus is the GOAT and I hope it stays that way.

I dont dislike him , or care about his private life....in fact i liked him more when i found out he was human............but Jack is de man!Not only did he win 18 majors, which Woods may or may not equal, but he finished in the top 10 in majors another 54 times, as opposed to Woods 22.(still rising though)
He is playing great just now, but i think when Rory wakes up again, he will be the man again!

I honestly believe if they were both playing mediocre, or of a similar standard....Rory would beat him 7/10 in a head to head!

Never been a fan of Tiger, but can tell you a funny story, a few years back a friend of mine was at the open and brought me back a programme, I wrote on it "all the best Tiger" and was kidding everyone on it was really from Tiger. Most saw through it but anyway someone stole it from my bar where I had it on display. So someone out there has this and probably tells all is mates that he go Tiger to sign his programme. Numpty!!!.

    Best Nicklaus story I've heard.
The GB was at Ury Estate, Stonehaven to look over a possible course project, arrived at site by helicopter, locals all turned up with Jack Nicklaus RBS five pound notes asking The Golden Bear to autograph said notes as this would send the note value Sky High as collectors items.

Not sure if this story was true, but can well believe it due to site proximity to Aberdeen:icon_mrgreen:

Story goes that he actually signed the notes.:icon_mrgreen:

Ha ha...lucky buggers.Ive got 3 or 4 of them in a drawer somewhere......* knows why, as they are only worth about £4.95.
They made so many of them, and they all disappeared quite quickly.
It actually feels a bit ghoulish.....as they will only really increase in value when he dies.....hopefully not for a long time!

Tiger Woods, at his best, is without equal in the world of golf.

He burst onto the scene and became one of the biggest obstacles in sport to overcome.
