Aye, they were two cracking games. Says more about the season that our most consistent best football is two games though.

 

Yip. Bitton and McGregor were playing well together in midfield.

 

We looked like we were going to go on a run similar to last season though, and started the semi against Ross County in the same manner. Our season well and truly collapsed when Ambrose got sent off in my opinion. Brown has come back and been shocking in almost every game. McGregor takes a lot of stick from sections of our support, but I think he was hard done by getting dropped for Brown. McGregor shot himself in the foot as well right enough with the drink driving nonsense.

 

The good thing about them both is that they are comfortable on the ball, and can both pick out a pass. Brown's passing has been even worse than usual since his return, and it was poor before.

 

I agree. Even made a thread about it on here before Broony came back that McGregor shouldn't be the one that dropped out.

End of the day though, it was two games where we looked really good. We just assumed that it'd follow the same pattern as last year.

 

Brown should have been nowhere near the team recently. That was the main problem IMO.

McGregor should not have been dropped. Completely agree 100%. Bitton should have though. That guy's one of the main problems with the team. He was clearly hiding v Sevco in the Semi Final as he normally would in Europe as well. I'd happily show him the door in the Summer.

Mulgrew and Brown were excellent together before he got in the team. Just been unlucky with injuries. McGregor was a breath of fresh air in the DM position however. He and Brown should be in the there together.

 

Brown has been our poorest player since returning from injury. The fact is, Brown shouldn't have been allowed to walk back into the team.

 

Brown shouldn't have been rushed back, that much is obvious and another sign of poor management from Ronny.

 

Why is he such an awful passer of the ball? All the excuses and blame-shifting in the world can't cover up just how abysmal he is at it.

 

He was fit. That came from his old man as well. He shouldn't have been rushed back for other reasons though.

 

I find it difficult to grasp Why is anyone shocked at how bad he is playing he played ok season 12-13 and 13-14 (not brilliant ) and he has been terrible the rest.he should have been sold when Barry Robson and Paul Hartley were put in the team and showed up how bad he was

It took him a while but wee Gordon found out eventually where the problem lay

 

Rushing him back came from Ronny. I know what one I think knows more in this case.

 

Is that why he won POTY the following season?
