Forster or Boruc, who is/was better?

Both are/were top goalkeepers for Celtic but Boruc's character wins the day for me. Forster is I'm sure a nice big chap but Boruc was just superb... he had confidence, swagger and a love for the club which he expressed often

 

Boruc was more eccentric but Fraser is more reliable, I know what I'd rather have in a goalkeeper. Not taking anything away from Boruc though, most of his time here was great.

Boruc's attitude (and a lot of the performances) towards the end of his time here was really smack in the face of the fans and really disappointed me.

In his prime he was world class, but I'd rather have someone more reliable and stable like Forster is.

 

This poll is conformation that folk on here either, have just started supporting celtic, or just simply react to what is the trend.

Boruc at his best was better than forster is now imo. However Forster has the ability and time to outperform Artur.

 

The problem is people tend to only vividly remember Boruc's last season with us.

Im still going with Forster though.

Forster has time to Surpass Boruc though

 

Boruc actually had the Physique and Talent to be one of the very best goalkeepers for a long time

He just didnt have the concentration and mental strength. So in a sense he never reached his potential

 

At his best Artur Boruc was world class. I think a lot of people are only thinking of borucs performances at the end when he lacked consistency. In saying that Forster is an amazing keeper and will get even better however at this time Boruc at his prime was a much better keeper

 

i personally used to get very frustrated with boruc - he was far too inconsistant imo. Forster has had a great season and looks unbeatable atm.

 

I am starting to seriously think that if I were to put my money on which keeper will save the most penalties in their Celtic career (assuming theyre both here the same amount of time), I think i'd defo go with Forster...

Boruc gets my vote. It's pretty close between them though with big Forster getting better season by season. Although he needs to improve on his distribution.

I find it difficult to believe people choose Forster over Boruc.

However, given that people tend to remember the bad over the good as well as the fact Forster is with us now, it makes sense.

Boruc in his prime was world class. Forster has not demonstrated that type of ability, yet.

 

this is my view. Forster could exceed Boruc. But he isn't there yet. Boruc's 07/08 season(and the Euro's) is the best I've ever seen from a goalkeeper at CP.

Unfortunately he had a poor 08/09 and a decent to average 09/10. Which is why I said in a previous post that he didn't reach his potential in a way. He could have been in the top 10 GK's for years to come after Euro 08.

Just wasn't to be though.
