this is RIDICULOUS. why didnt you write "and fortunately marchisio was there at the first goal, because the ref pretended not to see the ball crossing the * line"

realize you are being silly and ridiculous because NO international sports newspaper say that celtic lost the game because referee. you lost because you have got a butter defense. juventus tried 4 times to scores and 3 times did.

We have clearly established that he was something to do with Juventus we don't deny that. But it doesn't put to bed the fact the referee was 'Pro-Juventus' he was and you can't deny that the decisions went your teams way.

No no problem I thought what the * the first time I seen it but quickly realised he was apart of Juve staff. We are all * off and I think we are looking into more things because we are angry! Wether people want to go as far as match fixing platini and his links with Juve or the fact the ref was just * then fair enough we know somewhere down the line we were cheated or robbed!

In fact about match fixing didnt something come out that there was proof there was match fixing and at least 2 games England were apart of it ? Including Lyon needing 7 goals to qualify and did so what came of it???

It's the same script every time we get drawn against one of the big boys. The referees are too spineless to make big decisions against the biggest clubs. Man Utd have had more than one non penalty given to them against us, we should have had a penalty in the San Siro that we never got, Juventus were given a ridiculous penalty against us in Turin to get them out of jail and last night the referee just steadfastly refused to send off Lichtsteiner even when it was obvious to most people that he deserved a red card.

I'm just fed up with it now. It's all so entirely predictable.

    Agree with Cha Cha Cha

It probably wont go anywhere but well done for writing it. It was a shocking refereeing display. At the end of the day we were beaten by 3 clear goals and that will not change. For me it is not just about last night, the game is being spoiled with this week in, week out, last night was just taken to the extreme. Fifa/Uefa must come out with a strong zero tolerance approach. 2 weeks of penalties given for every occurrence (when the ball is in play) will seriously negate this within the game.

We can't just pretend that we have not had dodgy decisions go our way, look at the free kick nakamura scored in the second man utd game. Looks to me like jarosik dived.

We are not always the victim.

Yeah we get a free kick 35 yards from goal and Man Utd get two penalties that weren't penalties. That's the same. :97:

The problem is (in my opinion of course) we're a nuisance to UEFA and their Champions League. UEFA sell the CL as the biggest club football competition in the world and to sell it as that they want the big spending, full of superstar players clubs in it as long as possible. To have a club such as Celtic in it from a small nation who spend relatively peanuts on unheard of players beating their big money makers is an embarrassment to them, I'm pretty sure they would be far happier if we made the group stages, had a few good performances so they can say well you don't have to spend tens of millions to be a CL club to all the smaller teams but ultimately * off to the Europa League after the group stage finished. Just the very thought of Celtic knocking out some their golden boys on the way to the final probably had the * running down their inside leg.

Yep. I don't think you're too far away from the truth there.

I don't know how others feel about the Champions League but I am beginning to feel like UEFA have actually devalued the matches between the biggest clubs. It used to be the case that I would get quite excited if AC Milan got drawn against Barcelona or Bayern Munich got drawn against Real Madrid. These draws were really big events because they didn't come along every year. I would literally go out of my way to watch those matches.

Nowadays we are seeing the same elite band of clubs playing each other every year and reaching the latter stages of the Champions League. It is beginning to get stale and it will become even more stale as time goes on. With the old European Cup format there was much more variety in the opponents you got to play and there was also more chance for less fancied teams to make the latter stages. That is more interesting to me.

I'm probably in the minority by having this opinion. The Champions League seems to be pretty popular on here.

The only letter UEFA took any note of was the one that came in a brown envelope and contained thousands of EUROs, opened by a certain Mr. Platini.
