Efe Ambrose

We rightly turned down £3 m . For him in January . People envolved in football judge him on his ability , not on other things .
It wouldn't take the brains of Britain to know if he has lost confidence , why he has . Celtic fans should be ashamed of themselves , making him the whipping boy and firing abuse at him in Celtic forums .
Strange Gordon shot the team in the foot last night , the supporters chanted his name and our Gordon has hardly got a word of criticism on the forums . All Celtic supporters want to build Gordon's confidence and destroy Ambrose . What's the difference in these two men .?

 

You're right I think all celtic players should get the support of the fans while they're here. However the difference between efe and Gordon making mistakes is that 1. Gordon was pivotal in us making it out of the group to even play that game last night so he's earned a break for making a howler. 2. Ambrose seems to make mistakes that end up with us losing games. Craig still kept us in it yesterday. 3. When was the last time efe made a game saving challenge or a goal or assist? As someone mentioned he's probably contributed less than what as cost us so it's hard to get excited when you see his name on the team sheet or coming on from the bench.

Think he needs a bit of backing from Ronny and the fans though to boost his confidence.

 

Ambrose is a liability! End of! He's more likely to cost us a goal than do anything else. The fans don't trust him & his teammates don't seem to trust him either. Get shot of him at the first opportunity.

 

Sorry can someone confirm why Matthews came off? Did he pick up a knock? Was at the game so couldn't see why.

 

I'm confused, Ambrose played 10mins last night and didn't do anything wrong but somehow everyone is on here slagging him off :/ like what the *, where did that come from. This guy cant win with some people. We win its his fault, we loose its his fault, we draw its his fault, he doesn't even play and its still his fault. Some people need to get a grip and see with there own eyes and stop listening to everyone else. Even during commentary they slag him off when he isn't even playing, and the fickle fans listen

 

He was injured, Brown had ran over and said to Ronny that Matthews can't carry on.

 

Gordon has time after time proved to the fans he is a good keeper and the odd mistake does not change that.

Efe is a walking time bomb and will cost the team points game upon game each year he is at celtic.


One had a bad game but will get over it the other will have the odd good game and will also get over it.

 

This is a guy that plays Right back for Nigeria and has won the African Cup of Nations and been to the World Cup, yes he makes mistakes but he is a good player. People forget him and Wilson were a solid partnership that got us to the Last 16 of CL.

 

People on here are * in the head. Ambrose is a decent centre back and a more than capable right back or at least lennon, delia and whoever the Nigeria manager seem to think so. McManus, Caldwell, loovens and big mastorovich do people actually remember the * we've had efe is a far better player than all of these guys.

Judge him on his football ability? They must be mesmerised by it, that's why he's a guaranteed sub, barring injuries..

 

You must be watching another Efe Ambrose. Yes some of those other players are bad, Majstorovic was a complete donkey but Efe is such a liability. 3m offer in January was a steal! We should of took that offer 200%. In all honesty really we should be giving teams 3m to take him off us. When is his contract up?

 

Must be because what I seen all 3 goals came when efe was on the bench but noooo still efe fault.

He will go down in history for our clean sheet record last year but noooo still *.

And the beginning of our winning run and clean sheet run this year was with efe but noooo he is still *

What you don't seem to comprehend is that his ratio for * up is much, much higher than anyone else in the squad. Virgil, Gordon, Denayer and even Izzy are composed and reliable on the ball MOST of the time. Unfortunately you just can't say the same about Abrose.

Maribor, for me, was the worst performance in a celtic jersey I've ever seen. It's hard enough in these games (juve/inter) what with cheating * and dodgy referees. The last thing we need is one of our own players stacking the odds even higher against us. Sorry, it's nothing personal, but get him tae * before he breaks our hearts again and loses the club millions of pounds.

 

Yup all efe fault........ Doesn't matter that there is 10 other players on the team all his fault. Doesn't matter that at the beginning of the season the whole team was all over the place on the pitch its all his fault.

Defenders are made to look the fool when they have no protection in front of them.

Also we should have beat maribor if we finished our chances, we had clear cut chances and fluffed them. It was poor finishing that let us down not efe Ambrose

 

I think people don't like Ambrose the man and they take it out on Ambrose the footballer.
What I wonder was it the media who started the witch hunt on Ambrose and the fans followed or was the other way round . Whether some fans like it or not he is a Celtic player and Celtic supporters recognise that . Some of our " fans" seem to forget that .

 

You've got that completely *-backwards!! Ambrose the man is a lovely guy & very friendly, plus accommodating for supporters wanting photos or an autograph! unfortunately Ambrose the footballer isn't that good, and is a ticking time bomb regardless of the level of opposition! His inability to do the simple things simply hamstrings the whole team effort because not one player in that team trusts him and you can see it when he plays!
