Ahhhh a see what u mean so the thermal paste goes on the cpu cooler where it touches the stock thermal paste to transfer the heat or cooling ? Do i nee o clean off the stock paste from the cpu ?

Exactly wht i wanted to hear ! Al get a pal to download it hopefully. So nervos about all this its ridiculous haha pure pantying it

 

The paste that comes with the Stock CPU cooler is on that not the actual Processor, Once you slip in the Processor you apply your aftermarket thermal paste on top of the Processor then put on the CPU cooler(Hyper212)

Just abandon the Stock CPU cooler you won't need it.

 

Oh rite read that wrong i see what you mean now stock cpu cooler with paste wont be used.

What is that about cables in ure last comment u think there will be a problem ?

 

On your List you have no Optical drive for CD's DVD's etc, You will need 2 Sata 3 cables 1 for your Optical drive and 1 for the Hard Drive i'm not sure if your motherboard ships with any.

 

Do you have an old PC?

You can most likely use the Optical drive + HDD from that if it's not a IDE HDD.

 

not sure if it is IDE HDD because i have no idea what that is but there is two optical drives on it for some reason so the odds are in my favour surely

think i ll get my cpu paste tomorrow and see about an operating system think i should have everythin by thursday

just need to wait and see about the sata 3 cables if they dont come with it it cant be too expensive to buy ?

cant wait to get this over and done with crappin my pants about the build

 

Check your old PC for the connection to it, is it a big thick cable? pull it out and see if it has a long row of Pins sticking out, Sata 3 cables are around £4 to £8

 

Ragin. Ordered two * power supplys by mistake. Whilst ordering the list kept changing or some reason knew id make a mistake somewhere because of it. Hopefully thats the only mistake.

 

i think aria pc have sent me a power supply i was going to order but then never... not came off in my bank statement and its not on my order history... please.. just once could this be the case !

 

The two drives in my old pc are designed so that you would need to break the case to get them out. Pain in the hold but not like theyre expensive. Toying with the idea of just breaking it not going to get used anyway. A real pain considering theres 2 drives cd rom and ones a writer or something.

So far i have :

Case
Power supply
Graphics card
Cpu cooler
Cpu

And the double order of power supply problem is gone. For whateer reason the cpu was in its own box and that was inside a corsair power supply box. Anyway cant wait to get started.

Its a packard bell not sure what specific name. Its from 2005 as well. Older than i thought by a few years !

 

About to blow a gasket. Got a pal to help doesnt kmow much either but i think we done pretty well. Got everything going looked fine but there is no video output. I have hdmi from motherboard going straight into my samsung telly but there is no signal detected. So gutted i couldnt get it workin after stayin up late am everythin anybody any suggestions ?

Does your graphics card have a hdmi out ? I so try putting it in there an reboot.

 

Yeah it does and i tried it in tht as well but still nothing motherboard is definety recieving power as well heed is frazzled i can get what the problem is.

 

Did you put the speaker on it that came from the motherboard? Does it beep?

Did you also use the Golden/Bronze Stand-offs for the Motherboard?

 

Not sure what you mean about the speaker ? But it doesnt ring a bell with me either

Standoffs wer the first thing i put on as well.
