    * *. A lot of bellends on here. Unrealistic.

The rumour is true to an extent. Doesn't mean Norwich have even bid, but they have scouted him.

I myself don't think he will go to Norwich either or they would pay enough.

The deal hasn't been dragging on you *.
His agent has been in contact with clubs since summer.

I am sure his form this season has made some teams take notice.

I think Celtic should have given him a take it or leave it contract offer.
If he doesn't accept as may be the case then they should listen to any offers over 6m rather than lose him for 3m or 4m in the summer when he only has a year left on his contract to run.

I think he is a good player but honestly if I was an english team I wouldn't pay over 7-8m for him. Risky.

Any Celtic player willing to leave the Club in January is aff their nut. The prestige of every player will be enhanced by staying and playing in the Champions League latter stages, while adding more winners medals to the collection. Also the type of teams who will be buying are the relegation threatened pish like QPR (etc).

For once I think Celtic are in a strong position in transfer negotiations.

We got £6M plus add ons for Ki, our 4th/5th choice CM, when he had a year left on his contract. We're hardly going to accept £6M for our main striker with 18 months left.

Likewise, there's no chance we'd accept £3M for him in the summer when his goals in the CL qualifiers could earn us 8 times that amount alone.

If he doesn't accept a new contract by the summer, personally think he will, then we'll probably sell him after the CL qualifiers for a similar/higher fee than Ki.

2.5 million? Aye that'll be right!!! 60 odd goals in over a hundred games, the bidding begins at 7. If he is to be punted i couldn't give a flying hoot where he goes, as long as the wedge gets fired over and a replacement is signed.

I'd rather let his contract run down than punt him for 2.5 million.

It's all this and that and my grannies, aunt's godfather says a talent scout went to watch Hooper, last i heard it was 5 million for Kayal because they couldn't afford Hooper.

Next day it's 2.5 million for Hooper. The thing is, the journos know as soon as they write this on the backpage, every Celtic fan buys their buttrag of a newspaper.

You come across as a complete *. I don't mean that in an offensive way, but you really do. Saying you would let our best striker go for 3-4m is ludicriously stupid.

He is turning into a complete *. If you ask me all this big up of the EPL from Hartson is to give himself a better chance of becoming a more well known pundit

No. No it does not. He doesn't think it's a step up, he knows it isn't a step up. Obviously.

Hes saying he knows its not a step up (as he has played for similar sized clubs down south), read the article, hes bigging up celtic and more or less saying hooper should stay, unless we are offered £10m.

I don't see how you could become confused by that. It's very obvious he's saying it wouldn't be a step up
