Do you think they're worth it? i was thinking of getting the 32 GB iPad 4 for crimbo - which would set me back £480. Does anyone actually own one? If so, is it worth it? I already have a laptop etc.

You can't go wrong to be honest. Best machine out there.

They're staff wind me up with all that in your face * but I've had a fair amount of problems over the years with their products (like all brands) and they always sort it out for me. Most recently my iPhone 5 broke and they gave me a new one for free.

Depends, if you just want to mess about on the internet when your out and about its better than a phone but not as good as a laptop but you dont want to carry a laptop about as its too big. If your only going to use it in the house then you dont need one really as a laptop is better.

    I've got an iPod classic.

Other than that - I wouldn't go out of my way to get any of their stuff.

My Samsung Galaxy 3 is the dog's bollox.

There isn't anything wrong with Apple products, aside from the prices.

The only Apple device I own is an Ipod classic, and I wouldn't countenance purchasing an Iphone or a mac.

I went out and bought one, I have to say, it s really impressive, the screen resolution is perfect and it has a fair amount of interesting apps. Is it worth 500 quid? Not sure. But it really is magnificent.

Got a an iPod, iPad and iPhone, think they are all great products but haven't really used anything else to compare, for example the galaxy.

I have an iPhone so I don't really see the need to have an iPad or iPod.

All the same still is fine by me.

I've had a MacBook Pro also given to me after 2 years of use. Not the same model but the latest one and the same for the iMac.

    Can't fault it.

Apple products are good there is no argument on that.

Quality of build is better than the rest.

Sadly the mobiles are playing catch up to high end android phones and the Nexus 7 and 10 are more than a match for the apple tablets at a fraction of the price.

The Nexus 7 has more features and functions like sat nav and flashplayer available that the iPad mini and non 3G enabled iPad don't. No Apple device has flashplayer which is needed for streaming football.

The PCs are good but you are paying way way over the odds often for outdated parts and machinery.

They all have sky high street cred and hold their values well though.

They are good products. Just not as good as Apple owners will tell you.

New and refurbished isn't the same though.

It is good that they replace it after making an appointment rather than waiting a week when sending your own one away for repair with any other manufacturer.

I gave up with Apple after too many failures.

Reliability was woeful and I often though the refurbished element was part of the problem.

Although they put a nice new housing on refurbished items, what is inside would be older and worked harder than your faulty item you are returning.

You're right in what your saying mate and if I wasn't the heavy handed * who broke it I'd want a brand new one not a refurb.

Have an iPad which is great, my 6 year old daughter loves it for the games, I can lay on the sofa/bed/kitchen table and * around. Browse tinternets read books etc.
Had an iPod touch which was great until it got covered in juice one night and stopped working.
They are well designed well made products. Overpriced but then if mugs keep queuing around the block for the latest iPhone then they can and will charge what they want.
