Coming from a non ST holder I really don't see how so many non ST holders can show so much anger towards ST holders. Even if they pay 500 odd pound and only go to big games, it's their choice, their money. What annoys me more are non ST holders who don't go to any SPL games and then moan when they don't get tickets to see Messi, Pirlo, etc.

    Well said Mikey.

I think thats what most season ticket holders are getting at when they are saying people should go to more games.

ST holders deserve a ticket obviously and maybe 1 extra (debatable).

How ST holder's mates deserve tickets regardless of any other factors I don't understand.

Not sure on the practicalities and I am no doubt missing the blindingly obvious but would it not possible to just ask people to retain their tickets ( or a portion of them) and then present them when they are looking for tickets for the games where there is a high demand.

I'm not going to the Juve game as midweek games are just too much of a hassle for me travelling wise but I got a ticket and gave it to a kid that I know goes to pretty much every game despite living in Doncaster so I was glad I could help him as it would have been a shame if he didn't get one in favour of someone who only goes to the CL games.

I often read but rarely comment! But here goes!

I got the 3 game package. In doing so I endured the day from * both online and via phone and eventually got seats behind a green pillar:smiley-laughing002:. In my opinion the ST holders who got priority and a guranteed seat deserved so and this is their incentive/reward. I on the otherhand have a creek in my neck trying to avoid the aforementioned pillar!

I cannot understand why ST holders then got the option of two more tickets to effectively be given to another non season ticket holder (like myself and all other non ST holders). Whats the difference between their mate and me?

Another thing that slighty annoys me is the view that you didn't get a ticket but you should support the club by going to Hearts and Dundee Utd. Lets be honest here....myself, and indeed many others who even live in Glasgow/Scotland (unlike me) simply do not want to watch SPL. Its not because we are poorer supporters than those who currently attend. Its because its crap and thats our choice. But likewise I could ask how many others with this outstanding attitude were alongside me and 18,000 others when I saw my first league game at Hampden v Motherwell in 1994....or indeed met a scary loyalist paramilitary in a Tesco carpark to handover £500 for a Seville ticket (wondering if its a set up and your about to be nutted). Everyone supports the club in their own way!

We all support Celtic, we all wanted a ticket and on the night regardless of whether your in the ground, behind a pillar, watching TV or even watching Eastenders because you prefer to do so....there is no hierarchy!

And for all those with tickets....I hope it rains and is -5 degrees! I'll be watching Eastenders:icon_mrgreen:

if you dont want to go and watch celtic in the * spl then i suggest you go and support someone else as without the spl there would be no champions league , what about the guys like myself who shell out the 500 odd every year and get next to nothing in return and the one time we get something back in return non season ticket holders are not happy.

I am not sure why you need something in return but no matter, you do get something in return/privileges– you get the same seat to see Celtic at home for 21 games, you get guaranteed a ticket for all home cup games (European games included) at a reduced rate, you get priority for away games, you get priority for neutral games – cup semis and finals, you get priority for away European games and I am fairly sure you can accumulate benefits if you buy from the club shop and pass over your teamcard.

season ticket holders pay upfront in most cases for 19 spl home games no matter if they attend or not they have paid for every spl game,2 champions league qualifiers and 3 champions league group games, maybe more with league cup games scots cup games and friendlys, but its about 24 games were they have backed the team with money from there own pocket, now non season ticket holder as vital as they may be have, but the big argument here is that they have bought the 3 match package and therefor should be first in line for the juve game after buying at most 5 tickets over someone who has bought anything from 24 upwards, maybe the option to get 6 was too much but how anybody can complain about season ticket holders getting 2 extra is beyond me

But this isn't the case. They aren't first in line, season ticket holders had three weeks to purchase their ticket ahead of everyone else.

Non-season ticket holders do not get any benefits above and beyond what any season ticket holder gets as you suggested in your earlier post.

Who said they should? You were the one implying that they do.

so whats the problem then all season ticket holders have done is took up the option that having a season ticket gives them. the people who are not happy would have done the same thing if they had the chance aswell

The issue is over how these extra tickets were allocated. Go and check out probably the 100+ posts discussing this which you seem to have missed.

In an ideal world those 'privileges' would be enough of an incentive. But in reality, and whether we like it or not, the decline in season ticket sales and the trend of 'picking and choosing games' would suggest differently.

I applaud that you shell out £500 to see all games. Money isn't the issue but I spent over £500 to facilitate going to 3 games but thats neither here nor there! I don;t see how it is an incentive allowing a season ticket holder to buy two extra seats. Assuming they have already secured their seat, another two tickets will go to someone else. What additional reward does that bring to the ST holder.

Unless the two tickets make an appearance on gumtree or the black market wheres the actual tangible perk?

I think one good thing is that Celtic can trace every single ticket down to a ST holder.

Therefore they can catch the touts. I think that was a big part of their thinking behind it.

I think they have also done it hoping that more people will buy season tickets.
