Benfica v Celtic, 20/11/12, 7:45PM.

Why not? I'm sure I heard that some team from Glasgow (of roughly the same quality as Benfica) recently came within a few seconds of getting a draw at the Nou Camp against their A team. That being so, how can you be so confident that Benfica won't beat their reserve team?

 

Confident that we'll go into the match against Benfica already assured of European football next year. The Barca win means much more than three points as we take the confidence from that result and they cannot yet swagger their way to top spot, resting players along the way.

If the early kick-off goes Barca's way, I expect us to get the draw we need in Portugal to secure a spot in the last 16. We'll be able to party without concern against Spartak and have a real go with nothing to lose. Hoping Tuesday will be a brilliant night all round.

 

We have to go out and hammer Benfica on tuesday. We have three games
before we play Spartak. This games on tuesday is the most important game out them all to date. Celts 3-1.

i aggree to many people on here expectin barca to beat benfica.i believe benfica have a good chance of winning this one.

 

Surely out of self-interest and group standings we want Barca to beat Benfica? If Barca run away with the group and we come second, that's a good result for us.

 

Barca wont lose to benfica. Thats like a derby game for them, the fans would be furious if they dropped points against a portugese side.

 

I can't see Barca losing and mathematically we wouldn't want them to either.

 

Barca may rest players on the last day if they're through but I don't think they'd play a team no-one recognizes. Montoya, Batra, Mascherano/Pique, Adriano, Thiago, Song, Cuenca, Tello will all hopefully be involved if fit or on the bench. With Messi hunting down the record number of goals scored in a calendar year hopefully he asks to play.

 

Barca will not want to loose at the nou camp if it hadve been in benfica maybe but you have to ask how good are the barca reserves aswel fellas that arent strictly first teamers im sure they are more than capable of fielding a crackin side

 

Maybe they're even as good as the Celtic reserves that beat Barca A.

dont see barcelona dropping more points, theyve not qualified yet so they need the job done!
think its a must win, wont complain with a point but a counter attacking tactic, and steal a win is what we need

Probably, we've got better goal difference than them and they'll probably lose to Barcelona on the last day. I can't see them not scoring but
