what dose any player leave for more money, the issue here is talk sport say the 5 players are to good, and they would get more money in other clubs, and as money has talked in all our players that have gone, what is the problem, and also the same 4 not five beat barcelona and if they where of no use, they would still be here, as like BROWN is there is no * wants him, is he bellow the club or what

you are spitting out the dummy mate because of what one guy says
being to good for Celtic, what would you say then, we have a team of numptys happy to play here for what ever we pay them. but they can leave as long as they don't say, they are to good for Celtic. every one is telling me the EPL is best that I don't agree with, but I do know the money is better, but players are the old school, they would rather say it was for the challenge, rather than the money. and when they say the challenge well my Friend that only spells one thing, they think they are bigger than there last club.
i know they are lying but I cant prove it:bbpd:

first of all, ive hardly spat out the dummy.

secondly, players can think they are too good, but they are wrong and if they think theyre bigger than this club, then they dont deserve to be a part of it

I agree that they are not be too good for the club, but nevertheless they are much too good for what we are in a position to offer. Celtic is of course a huge club in our own right and I believe can stand toe-to-toe with the biggest clubs in Europe in terms of history, culture, fanbase, etc.

But as a player, you want to play at the highest level. And realistically if you do not come from Scotland and have no connection to the country or the area, you are not going to settle for the SPL. Leaving wages aside, I can totally appreciate why players would move on to the EPL as they are challenging themselves at a higher level. They are getting the chance to play some of the best in the world and they are playing in bigger games with bigger crowds week in week out.

None of these players come close to our best players ever, hence they can't be too good for Celtic. Well FF has a shout in goals...

But Kelvin Wilson or Billy McNeill? Bobby Lennox or Samaras? Gary Hooper or Henrik Larsson? Victor Wanyama or Bobby Murdoch? Adam Matthews or Danny McGrain?

We have a good and exciting young team but they are not yet legendary. A team that doesn't compete with the legends of Celtic's past can't , by definition, be too good for Celtic.

Does ANY other club in the U.K. get bullshit articles/press like this?

The HATE that people have for this club is * shocking ...

... which, in turn, only makes me (and I'm sure many, if not all, of you) love Celtic THAT much more.

    *, indeed.

Talksport is a great station. Yes its English based but they still spent a full day talking about our win against Barcelona. Alan Brazil in the morning does nothing but talk about us at every given chance. So 1 writer gives his opinion that 5 players are too good for us and we all go mental? We are a selling club these days. We try to unearth good talent and sell it on at a profit, most players will see us as a stepping stone to moving to a better league. Maybe no player is too good for us as a club but take 1 look at the Wanyama thread and you will see most people saying he will be playing for Barcelona, Man Utd or City. No need to get up in arms about these stupid articles that are based on 1 writers opinion.

I agree with this, there are a lot of good presenters and broadcasters on it. Durham and Gray and Keys are total * though.

Last week the majority of presenters, Durham included were glowing about Celtic. Ally Brazil loves our club and is open about it.

Even Stan Collymore, who I always thought of as a * of a man, has went up in my estimation. His punditry is the best their is, imo. He has a great knowledge and insight into the game, tactics, and players. He is also a big supporter of people with depression/ mental health issues which in this sport is pretty brave. It possibly also explains some of the problems he had in the past.

So one guy thinks we have players that should move. We really should be flattered that we are now being scrutinised because of our results. A few more like that and then they may know what we already know...that no-one is too big or too good for Celtic.

Its all about educating them :icon_mrgreen:

Disagree with this part to an extent.Name one player in the last 3 years that has used us as a stepping stone to a better league?Don't think Ki wanted to leave,we sold him to raise some capital. We'll sell players when and if we need to sell.

Agree a little here. Ki did want to leave, or certainly play in the EPL, he made no secret of it. I dont think we have a policy of bringing young players through and selling them...yet. Other than McGeady its been very patchy in this regard. What we have is a good crop of youngsters that we COULD sell on, easily, but there is a paradox here. Fans take pride in valuable youngsters that have come through, but at the same time dont want to sell them. See the hysteria when a club shows interest in players.

We only want to sell the not so good players.

Personally I would like to see us keep our best players for as long as we can, unless they are desperate to leave and only if we get the money that is the going rate for them. I doubt we have a conveyor belt of talent coming through in the way that an Ajax or similar has, but perhaps in a few years this might be possible.
