Just overheard some colleagues talk about how good Barcelona was last night and how defensive Celtic played and that Celtic never deserved to win.

In normal circumstances I might get angry and get in a heated argument, but the amount of happiness I feel right now is blotting out all negative feelings. Just incredible. :smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002:

Watched it in the local pub in this tiny town I live in in Wales. Screamed my head off. Had the whole pub rooting for us.

I'll never forget last night. Never.

Another intresting fact that they took up in the swedish tv is that, when Celtic first got the ball on the 2nil goal, it took 5,6 seconds to score. Thats what i call counter attacking speed.

I took today off sick. Still buzzing. Got congratulatory texts from all around the world from friends and relatives who don't even follow football... it's still sinking in.

The best performance we've seen in a long time, possibly the best performance many of our younger supporters have seen in their lifetimes, better than the last match against Barca and with a quarter of our first team out injured.

Barca were magnanimous in defeat as any decent club should be and all our critics have been silenced by us playing football the Glasgow Celtic way.

Hardly slept a wink last night, the game kept on going over and over in my head. Still as bright as a button this morning though, never been on such a high after a game like that. The Milan, Man Utd, Juventus etc, don't compare to that last night. To beat the best team in the world, possibly the greatest team ever is beyond belief. The Barcelona fans were superb i thought also, from where i was sitting, it looked like they were partying with the Celtic fans when the final whistle went. Can anyone confirm this?

just thinking, if they hadnt got that late winner in the nou camp we would be on 8 points and Barca on 7. now wouldnt that have been something.

still feel like i'm dreaming what a result over two games we were Barca's equal which is something a club with our spending power can or will never say again.

lenny did say we could win the CL :icon_mrgreen:

but honestly and truly if we were to keep that type of performance up then why the * not just make a real go of it and see where we land, we won't be getting any harder games then Barca now and these two results alone will give the guys the biggest boost in confidence.

if that were any other team in the last 16 and played like that over two legs i would have been confident we could have progressed.

Love the optimism and I agree, we can win this.

But Barca play one way, fantastic as it is to watch them.

Other teams that can switch tactics might prove a harder task.

    Word for word.

By the end of the season he will be worth millions :icon_mrgreen:

Imagine what his father (If he is alive, apologies if he isn't) could say to his mates down the pub "My son scored the winning goal against the greatest ever football club".

Then everyone in the pub doffs their hat.
