This is pretty much. Expand the green brigade section by 3x even 4x and the place would be rocking.

I agree that the GB section should be expanded. It's always packed and you always hear people saying 'I'm trying to get a ticket near 111' and 'Hopefully I can get a ST near 111.'
We could double the size of the GB section at least.

I think it was on the slippery slope as soon as tickets became hard to get for non season ticket holders and as soon as tickets started to become far too expensive. I made a rare visit to Parkhead for the Killie game and the atmosphere was rotten.

Outside of the GB, the atmosphere among the rest of the stadium is as bad as it's been for years. Too many people are just content to sit and listen. And some people, myself included, feel slightly awkward being the only person standing up and trying to join in.

I know this is a terrible generalisation, but I find that a lot of the older guys aren't willing to join in with anything. I sat with a few around me at the Benfica game and even then they never made a peep.

Should split the ground into green and white sections(paint the seats) and make tickets, sit anywhere you like for that particular coloured section. So guys can turn up in large numbers with their pals and sit together like the old days, as I probably know over 50 people who all go to the games yet we are all spread throughout the stadium in wee groups of 3/4/5 - when 20 odd of us could all sit together.

As even now if you move near other people you know theres usually people wiith season tickets round them and you dont want to ask them to move all the time.

1st step for me is never to play the big SPL games at 12:30 ever again.

Most people nowadays do not have a mon-fri 9-5. A chef for instance finishes at midnight approx. Get home wash down and settle and be up again in time to travel to the game AND sing your heart out ain't easy.
The prem is staggered with a build up to the big one setup. Man U fans can go to the pub and wet their appetite with a little mid league game then bounce into the stadium Stoke'd, no pun intended.
Most of the shops ain't even open yet on the way to a 12:30 game. So all in the powers that be are really giving the Scottish game no chance and Sky deserve to go down for what they have done to Scottish football.
I suggest everyone cancel Sky and their TV license, sign up to netflix and channel 67 then use the savings to go to Celtic games they wouldn't have.

Should also get a screen with a GB vetted list of songs they will sing and lyrics so those who don't frequent games often can join in or sing when no one around them is and not feel so daft. As with such a strong identity in our fanbase I can imagine (C2911) and know of a few who doubt their identity, who don't feel like joining in unless they can go all in, at the dancing but sitting all night watching so to speak.

You could have loads of wee initiatives like the one above. being pro-active is all the club need to be.

I've got to admit I go mad at goals but I don't swear like a * especially out of respect for the young ones round me.

I've hoped for a few years now that terracing would be brought back at least in the first 15 to 20 rows. Much better atmosphere.

A 'safe-standing stand' similar to the Südtribüne at the Westfalenstadion would really improve things. I've been to a few Dortmund games and the atmosphere is incredible.

the atmosphere will never recover to what it once was maybe to an extent only the dark night champions leagues with all the restrictions, smoking and drinking at games all gone flags, banners, and ra ras, bunnets, and tammy's, all taking there toll and now surveillance with cops making the game unberable at times and poor play, its on the slippery slope i am afraid, to me they have invaded the fans space in the park, wee had a place they called the Jungle, the polis wouldn't even go in there, but it was A total amazing wonderful place to spend your time in there, and watch football it
could never come back, even if you had to recreate a Jungle again as now days there are far to many nosey * wanting to grass you off.

Im sick of people just constantly.moaning and not getting behind the team. Ive had a season ticket for 14 years now. In the lst 2, 3 years the same thing happens. Example, saturday 1-0 down I said to my mate who isnt a regular at games, wait till 55-65 mins everyone will go crazy, not getting behind the team, just expecting a win and it happened every slack pass or not exactly.pin point accurate pass getting sooo much abuse its unbelievable.

Couple of weeks ago vs hibs ,.celtic 1-0 up at half time , honestly I heard like 10 people say this is soo boring hibs havnt even tried, then second hibs come out attack and eventually score, then all I hear is moans n.shouting, I cant believe we are drawing. It made the game moreexciting.

Alot of home fans annoy me nowadays tbh. People who go sit and expect a celtic comfortable win fair enough. when it doesnt happen just want to hurle abus at referees, our own team and lennon. Get behind the team.

I am the same. Football should be fun and it is good to go a bit mad but it isnt an excuse to act like a imbecile

I think this comes from a generation of fans who have only known success. It is almost 25 years since Celtic or Rangers didnt win the league, and it is at least a decade of absolute dominance between two teams. They have never experienced finishing 3rd in the league nor even the feeling of not expecting to win the league every season. We are as a collective a very spoiled fan base. This is sometimes reflected in the atmosphere, especially in home games.

Neither do I mate, I was just trying to paint a picture of the type of fans I'm on about. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that they're well within their rights to support the team how they want I just thing it takes from the atmosphere.

I understand what you're saying, and to some extent agree with you.

But I must say, I quite like the fact that the Celtic support doesn't accept below par performances, players hiding, complacency etc. I think players need to realise when playing for Celtic that anything other than a win is a disaster in the eyes of the support, and hopefully that breeds a winning mentality within the team and individual players.

I agree, but I have seen games were it is 0-0 say 70 minuites . Fans arent at all happy, you can feel tension around the stadium and then a slack pass brings uproar by loads of fans. I understand frustration kicks in but some fans have to handle it by getting behind the team.

What needs to change? The fans at Celtic Park. The vast majority are too happy to moan about the atmosphere but they doo nothing to improve it. They seem to expect an atmosphere to be created for them and dont seem to understand thats there job. The Green Brigade do the hardest part which is getting a song started, then know one joins in. I hear the argument constantly of "the green brigade just sing songs they know/ultra chants that know one else knows blah blah blah............." Anyone who goes to the games knows that is complete nonsense. Take last night for example, the rest of the ground could easily have joined in with The Celtic Song, Fields of Athenry, Over and Over, I'd walk a million Miles, Wille Mailey, This land is your land, Celtic Celtic that's the team for me.................. but they didnt. Why?? If someone that hides behind the argument that the GB stop others from getting involved in the atmosphere could please answer that would be great thanks.

As many have Sao a standing area would be excellent, but I do think the problem is with most of the fans, moaning at people for standing up etc makes it hard.

Don't agree with this at all. In my experience, the most negative and pessimistic fans are usually old enough to have been around during the most unsuccessful years of our history.

Maybe we need some new songs? Remember when Just Can't Get Enough started getting sung, The Huddle was growing rapidly in popularity, et cetera? It's been a couple years now and a new addition to the playlist could be good to spice things up.
