    Just a short thread to congratulate Brother Walfrids local team Sligo rovers on winning the L.O.I 2012 . unbeaten at home /league all season and only 2 defeats on the road Ian Barraclough,s lads where deserved winners. Champions lge football awaits :celt_2::shamrock:

    haha had to laugh at the classic chip on the sholder comments from others in the thread about Dublin.
    It is great to see a very well managered and run club like Sligo Rovers have such a great run. Deserved League champions for the third time this year and that on the back of having won the cup last season and a cup double the year before. So its not like this season has been a blip that came out of nowhere.

    Good to see someone different win it though, although the League still has many major problems.

    Always good to see the major trophy going outside Dublin. It is good for the game outside the Capital and does something to combat the GAA.

    Problem is the GAA is always going to be the top sport in Ireland, and rightly so IMO, its the national sport..
