1/2 a goal a game, of course its good even in the SPL, again look at the World Class player he was playing with, Sutton should have left way before he did, same as Hartson.
Sutton wasnt a regular player at Celtic in his last two seasons thats my reason for not being that enamoured by the player, same as Chelsea werent just before they let him go.

its partnership, a lot of people played in the same team as larsson and didn't just suddenly turn into word class players... he enhanced larssons game as well as larsson enhancing his... which is something he done for alan shearer as well! its not other players that were playing good on behalf of chris sutton hubert he was doing perfectly fine by himself

Not in his latter days he wasnt, I was watching devlin! :87:
Larsson by the way didnt need Sutton, Larsson was still playing first class at Man Utd recently, Sutton was finished seasons ago my man! :87:

Let me ask you a question do you think Sutton should have stayed at Celtic?

Stop twisting it hubert. Nobody is saying that Sutton could have gone on forever.

You have lost the original thread, but I'll try to help you out.

The question could have been answered in 2 ways

    Q) Would you want Sutton or Hesselink in the here and now?
    A) Obviously Hesselink because Sutton is now done.

    Or.

    Q) Who was the better player over the piece of their respective Celtic careers?
    A) Up for debate.....For me it's Sutton.

i am a big sutton fan, he was a great signing for us. he held the ball up well, scored goals and had a wonderful partnership with henrik.

can't really comment on VOH yet since this is only his first season in the spl. i think he will be a good player, if he stays clear of anymore injuries. which was a problem with sutton.

I answered those questions and I was asking devlin not you about if Sutton should have left.
I dont fart about, I said Hartson should leave long before he did, MOST Tic fans exaggerate and are grandiose, whats wrong with telling like it is.
Hesselink does not have the skills Sutton had.
Hesselink is similar in movement as Sutton, * slow.
Hesselink fouls and goes offside often, so also did Sutton.
Hesselink is a good goal scorer so also was Sutton, but neither were in the same league as Larsson.
Hesselink I hope to * doesnt get injured near as often as Sutton otherwise once again we are really *.
Hesselink I believe has a better disposition than Sutton had.
Hesselink is still with the club, Sutton is history!

Any chance of a straight answer to the questions?

So you think Hesselink has already been a better player for Celtic than Sutton ever was?

Yes or No ffs. It's getting late

You have still not answered the question above hubert. In this post you praise Sutton then contradict yourself by questioning his worth to the team because of his injury problems.
And stop re-posting, I can scan the thread if I want to read your posts.

This proves you dont read my posts carefully, that was answered along time ago.
ok I will type this slow, Sutton was a more skillful player than Hesselink will ever be, however I am glad we have Hesselink at Celtic and not Sutton, for he was long finished.

You are the one who is slow. But I will try to draw my own conclusion from your ramblings. So I'll assume that you agree with me that Sutton was the better player until Jan proves otherwise.

Currently among Tic fans GS is under much criticism, talking about Sutton I find it SHOCKING that MoN would even have entertained signing Sutton.
Goodness * gracious I am having doubts about GS and MoN, who the * is left, Roy Keane I presume? :50:

Hesselink may score more goals than sutton but id take sutton 100 times out 100 cos he was a better all round player.

Hard to say at the moment. Can't judge Big Jan just yet. Sutton was a gr8, hardworking striker who was very underrated.
Hopefully VOH can become a legendary striker for Celtic in the future. If he can become that then he would be better than Sutty was for us.
    Hail Hail!!!
