Just had the pleasure of watching the Motherwell game on iPlayer - sitting here chuckling and occasionally interjecting, "This is * brilliant".

Best football I've seen us play in a long time, and the possession stats must have been something ludicrous - the then league-leaders were barely getting a sniff of it, outpassed & outclassed.

With each new acquisition, from Miku up front to Ambrose at the back, it becomes increasingly clear that Lenny expects everyone in that team to be able to pass the ball. I can't remember us ever having three CBs in the squad who look as comfortable spraying the passes about as Mulgrew, Wilson and Ambrose. And our full backs too.

This is so much the way I want to see us play - and to think I was worried when Lenny was first appointed that he might go for brawn over ability.

My question is - can anyone remember a time when we've had a better range of passing in our squad - front to back - than we have at the moment?

The passing was great. Nearly every long ball played was collected.

Tommy Burns team is the only one I can think of that you could say.

For every game like that on Saturday there is 10 incredibly boring games.

Scott Brown played well again too - kept it simple, gave it to the folk who can use it.

Also found myself wondering what people saw to complain about with James Forrest - made a few wrong decisions, but overall played well & looked dangerous.

Honestly didn't feel there was a bad performance on the park, and it's not often I'll say that. Long may it continue.

Never mind that passing *, anyone got a gif of Lenny being smacked in the whoppers by a Forster kick out?

Broony's pass to Commons and Commons attempted chip half volley was a thing of beauty!

I agree with Forrest as well, a far better display. Again mostly on the left, which is by far his best position for me.

If we can start passing like that under pressure when were being pressed then thats when we'll be making big strides.

One thing I'd say about Forrest is this season he seems far too keen to fall over looking for fouls, doing my * in tbh, he had a fine game this weekend I'm not saying otherwise, but I wish he'd stay on his feet more, not sure where he's learned this from he never used to go over so easy.

The last two games have been excellent.

Players might be starting to up their game, now that Sammy and Miku are returning to compete with Hooper and Brown, Kayal, Ledley in midfield plus Ambrose coming in at the back and Wilson hitting form, even Lustig playing well in his recent outings.

No one will be able to coast through games now with their place cemented, they'll need to play well. Especially in midfield where theres 7 guys Brown, Wanyama, Ledley, Kayal, Forrest, Commons and Samaras for 4/5 positions, a poor game will almost certainly mean they miss the next one.

It could have been double figures but for poor finishing.

We have numerous options now in terms of personnel and playing strategy. Very pleasing and very encouraging going forward.

That was a cracking display the whole match from all the players and it was great to watch.Everyone looked very comfortable on the ball and we should have scored a bundle.I hope we play like this all season and take more chances we create...

I can only hope the lads will confirm their strong displays against Spartak tomorrow. Competition is good for business as always, has people on their toes. Good roster assembly therefore by Lennon I would say.

    Neil Lennon - I'll Pass

Read this title and thought GTF!

Then I read the OP post. Couldn't agree more. Motherwell beat off the park, and us playing the Celtic way.

A manager with hoop cloured blood, a true bhoy to his core, and slowly beginning to show promise of being able to replicate his General's role on the park from the dug out.

Good Times to be a hoop.

    Hail Hail
