The number one factor that causes people to fail a test is nervousness. I passed my theory and driving test first time, but I was shaking like a leaf while sitting in the offices waitng to get called up. Once I was rolling I was perfectly fine and treating it like any other driving lesson. Although I felt my examiner was too strict on the minors. I still passed easilly. I found out a couple of months later that my friend has been tested by the same guy and got an extremly harsh major, which his instructor was raging about. Due to an aggressive driver making a reckless overtakeing manoeuver

Cheers everybody :icon_mrgreen: If anybody ever needs advice on what not to do when taking driving lessons, I'm your man. Made every mistake, timed my tests and theory badly, zoned out during lessons-but it all feels worth it now!

Passed my bike test first time 1988 - good year that.

Passed car test first time 2007 - good year that as well - got married that year too.

Weird about bike test. The eye test was a bit * up. When he asked me a vehicles number plate, the only one there was, yep, my Vespa. Passed test in 20 minutes.
Car was easy as because of when i passed my bike test i didn't need to sit theory for car.

Congratulations its something that I have put off to the point that I am now terrified. I wish I could drive but I have the fear. Working in injury claims scares me to death as well lol

Which test route are you taking, Gerard? Can't see I wasn't desparate with nerves as well, but it all feels worth it when you pass!

    Let The People Sing,
av got ma second test on friday, failed my first test 3 weeks ago by 2 majors, ( parking too close to a parked car to let traffic through, and indicating too long by the same * car while i was pulling out, all happened on my way back to the test centre ) load a pish examiner was choaking to fail me. I was atleast a car and a half length away from the parked car and a had ma indicator on for about 4 seconds max. I got 1 minor aswell by indicating to park in the parking bay inside the test centre at the end of ma test, guy said it was not needed so a got minor for it. a have a feeling a failed cos it was the first test on a monday morning.

    Ford Ka :50:

The interior is very basic with nothing in it but sticks to road like glue and it's OK to drive. Stripted out for rallying :smiley-laughing002:

and congrats on passing... took me 2 goes...
