That was my question as well.

Surely if a kid is sitting in the seat then its a kid seat?

Thankfully it seems to have been rectified.

I don't give a * what the Rangers F.C (RIP, Gladly missed) think about it, but I as a Celtic fan think it's embarrassing to think that there are those within our support think the attendance is a "problem".

It's not exactly rocket science to work out why there isn't a full house week in week out.

I dont get whats wrong? 45k which is more than strachans, still in recession, petrol prices, food etc are a * of a lot more than back in strachans era, yet were over 1k more. Why compare to sevco? Compare how much they make for there 47k and what we get for our 46k. Our money is double there we pound store bargain bin football.

    I'm not picky.
But to some people these reasons aren't good enough and there should be 55,000+ every home game no matter what :87:

This is exactly why these threads are popping up in my opinion. Who gives a * that some new team playing in the 3rd Division, whose ticket prices are HALF of what ours cost, is getting about 48k - 49k for some of their home matches. They are still living by their "we won't do walking away" mentality as well.

If ex-Hun FC were still alive and were charging between £25 - £30 for a ticket do people really think that they would be getting bigger crowds than what Sevco are getting at the moment? If they do then they are deluded.

It's embarrassing this thread exists, especially with the title "problem" as if it's official. Padmill and Cathairbhoy speak the truth^

FFS, are we not allowed to express an opinion on here without getting shouted down! My question was why dont we publish attendances (EG) on the website ( and there are others places you would expect to see it but don't), it almost looks like we the club think there is a problem, when in fact our attendances are very VERY impressive.
My other point realy was whether the club (who already do some very good deals) would be able to do something to encourage even more people to Paradise- isn't that what we all want? 60,000 lifting the roof every week? That might be ambitious, but I like to think we are an ambitious club :)

Don't know what the official attendance was but it was a good turn out on Saturday.

People are getting their knickers in a twist because some of the Sevco turn outs have been higher than our home turn outs - so *. The reason being that they are handing out free ticekts in there thousands and their tickets are around half the price of ours too.

There is no crisis, nothing to see here, move along.

We'll see on the 7th November how much of an attendance problem we have :50:

If you're meaning the official Celtic FC site, then it's been this way for as far as I can remember. I've never seen them post the match attendance figure on any of their match reports, so I very much doubt that they are not doing it because they think there's a problem.

At the same time though I don't understand why they DON'T put the attendance figure up because at least then it would keep sites like the BBC in-line by reporting the correct attendance instead of them reporting it lower that what it actually was i.e. the home match against Benfica when they reported the attendance as being 53,373.

Seeing as the thread has been re-named, I will answer it:

We do NOT have a problem with attendances.

We should be congratulating ourselves for being able to pull in decent crowds on a regular basis when you take into account:

    Economic climate
    Actual climate
    Standard of Football
Price of matchday ticket + add ons
Days of games/times of games etc.

It's not really, considering people are picking and choosing games they go to which is totally understandable. We're packing out our stadium for CL games at Parkhead and I understand about 10,000 Celtic fans travelled to Barcelona. Not to mention the few thousand who would have forked out a fortune to go to Moscow.

Last night , as low as the attendance was, would have made the club about £300,000 on tickets alone. Although putting it on the season ticket sounds all fine and dandy, from a business perspective it's throwing £300k down the drain.

    You were there I'm assuming?

People fail to get excited about the League Cup in the early rounds, with or without Sevco. I personally didn't travel as I've just paid for my Benfica away tickets and I travelled through to the game on Saturday to sit and freeze my balls off for 2 hours and watch a * poor performance.

Don't worry though I'll be there for Barca :50:
