That guy mentioned is a * maniac but it's a bit of an overreaction on Glasgow tbh. It's no where near as bad as other cities. As someone on the comments said the statistics are not telling the true story. Due to Glasgows boundarys the statistics dont include the wealthy Glasgow suburbs.. I'm sure if they were included the statistics would look a whole lot different.

Glasgows got it problems but saying its worse than places like Pakistan, Venezuela, Tanzania etc is just stupid, theres no bombs going off and massacres here every other day * sake. Just him sensationalising it for his own benefit. I dont think it will have as detrimental an impact on tourism as folk are worried about though.

Aye they were forcing her to take the injections. you say the programme will set Glasgow back years but when there are things like this happening and add the fact that Scotland has the worst gang culture in Britain I wouldn't exactly say we are that far ahead a society

I've not read that the article but he's not said it's the most dangerous place as far as I can tell? Just the toughest.

Don't know where the headline comes from, sounds more like he's saying it's the biggest shithole. Which isn't true in the slightest. Every city, and every town in the world has areas that are dogged by drug and alcohol addiction. Maybe he should look closer to home.

Don't think he's saying that either, think he comes across as more shocked that there's a level of poverty in the UK that you wouldn't believe.

He should go shove a fun-sized banana up his * and sing a song to a depressed budgie.

    Absolute * can't stand him.

To be fair if you read the article I think the point he is making is that he was shocked to see poverty in this country comparable to that of the developing world. The comparison has to be relative rather than absolute. And relative to the country as a whole and what you might expect of a nation like the UK compared to Pakistan or Tanzinia, Glasgow is pretty brutal.

Glasgow is nowhere near the toughest place in the world. Not even close!

Life in the worst parts of Glasgow is * gravy compared to a shitload of other places on the planet!

I find Glasgow quite an intimidating place I must admit. The city centre is fine but I wouldn't feel comfortable venturing too far away from that area at night time. You have to be streetwise to survive in any city but I think that's even more true in Glasgow.

I always have a great time there when I'm down for the football though.
