This is the post I never wanted to write.

Ambrose was easily our worst player tonight. Anyone who knows my posts will know that I am Ambrose's biggest cheerleader on TC but Jaysis he was poor and panicked tonight. Too much nattering with Emenike. Nerves or whatever it is, he was in a lot of bad situation this evening.

    Still love him though. :52:

He got bullied off of him but also recovered well and was a calm present at the back, wasn't the worse I've seen. For a bad performance, it still had a bit of class about it.

I didn´t see anyone play bad today, he was just outmustled on many occasions and dealed pretty decent with it... but could have been worse

I don't think he was that bad at all tonight. Won headers well. To say Emenike absolutely owned him all game would be an understatement though to be fair.
He was very composed but his composure gives me near heart failure numerous times a game. :56:

Apart from that one bit where he got to the ball before him and sold him a dummy in our own box then done a stepover, madman :56: :notworthy

said it before, he gives me the fear. fannies about far too much at the back at times. there's times to take the ball into feet and time to clear it to *.

emenike gave him a torrid time all night.

still, he's been generally excellent for us so far this season :50:

Emenike destroyed him tonight but a lot of defenders would have struggled against thon big * when he is in that form. Ambrose was good on the ball though and tried to make things happens

He oozes class, his composure is what we need on the big stage. Lenny is slowly trying to build a team that, in 3 or 5 years time can not only beat Barca but play like them as well and go toe to toe with these teams. We need people who are comfortable on the ball and defenders who can bring it out from the back.

It gives everyone the * because we're all used to clueless big lumps like Caldwell or Majstorovic but in time you will all see Ambrose was a truly inspired signing by the Ginger Legend.

Emenike was too strong for him.

I'm definitely nervous when he's on the ball. If he kept it simple in and around our 18 yard box I'd be a lot more comfortable as he's a great player, just prone to a few errors.

Not his best game tonight and imo it is detrimental to his overall performances for us to argue otherwise. He has got better displays in him and has shown it against better forwards than Emineke.

As for his time on the ball. He is a lot more able than Wilson who attempted (and failed) a lot of what Ambrose pulls off last season against worse opposition. That said, I would agree that he should still come to learn when and when not to use his composure best.

lol what?? wilson has been awesome this season, thats a strange statement.

thought he played better than people are saying, got sold a dummy a couple of times in the first half but other than that he was his usual classy self. in the second half our center backs didnt have much to do.

Not his best game but not really his fault, Emenike was just too strong, even though he was getting out-muscled he managed to get the ball off of him a lot of the time. He sorted himself out in the second half after a below average first half.

Was surprised to see the shorter emenike just outmuscle him the entire * game. Happy for the team but Efe had a real stinker for us tonight.

He has played much better in the past and will do so in the future, but tonight was pretty *.

    :50: Exactly.

Ambrose got the * ripped out of him a few times by a much stronger competitor. That's the only problem with out CBs. They want to play rather than outmuscle anyone, which most of the time is obviously is not a problem.

He wasn't good tonight, but that big lad Emenike would have given anyone in the world fits tonight. He was just awesome.

    Glad we made it through.
