FFS lads, have any of yous considered that his instructions will change depending who we are playing, and also whos playing infront of him? Its obvious he will have more protection and allowed to push on when Ledley is playing infront of him rather then Samaras!

I've never thought he's been a good defender. He most effective going forward

I thought izzy had one of the worst passing displays I've ever seen against Aberdeen but was decent defensively, I think he'll get back to top form, he just needs a couple of months playing week in week out.

Good point regarding Samara as playing one two's is a big part of his game and Sammy doesn't really excel at that type of play.

Ps. Hooper and Stokes are a bigger concern at the moment

Is Izzy worth a try as an out and out winger

In my opinion, no. It's different being an attacking fullback and being a winger really. Most guys who convert only do so because they are * at defending but are fast as *.

Izzy is good on the overlap because it gives him space and he takes advantage of lax wingers not tracking him back. I wouldn't be so sure in his ability to constantly take on a defender himself. His passing and delivery are also not always the best. Pretty inconsistent.
