His goals, assists and the fact he is capable of a piece of magic means Stokes is more than just a 'decent striker'.

    In my opinion.

We opted for the cheap option and this is now what we’re stuck with - an utter clown who can't wait to jump ship anyway.

How long do you reckon it takes for someone to learn how to control a * football?

Jury's still out on his ability but he looked like Serena Williams with that hair band today and that itself is an embarrassment!

John Park said that he would be a sensation here I'm pretty sure. He was very very excited about Bangura coming here.

Didn't stand out today but never really had a chance in and around the penalty area.

My major problem with him is that for £2.2M (bear in mind it's our most expensive signing since Fortuné although Juarez may have been a few million as well, not sure) I'd expected someone who'd run the show in Scotland. We paid less for Hooper and Stokes and they come with a guarantee of goals. Sammy may have been £2M and doesn't naturally score goals but he offers us something with his pace, hold up play and wing play. Going further back - people criticised Mowbray for signing Fortuné for £4M but IMO he brought a lot to the team in terms of his support and hold up play. These players contribute(d) to the team's efforts in one way or another.

However here's my point - when Bangura's on he neither scores goals or brings anything worthwhile to the team. He isn't always in the right areas and rather than provide a decent out ball he all too often squanders possession. I'm just not exactly sure what it is he's supposed to be bringing to the table.

IMO it's too early to write him off completely though. He needs a run of games for longer than the last 10 mins. I'd give him another season or consider loaning him out to get his fitness and confidence up. At the moment I'd play Watt and even Rasmussen ahead of him as I reckon both are probably more useful players.

If we loan him out then he'll just turn into another Rasmussen i.e running down his contract and if we give him more game time, we'll struggle! The only solution is he should be sold in the next 5 weeks but don't count on it.

The only way we could sell him is to the Swedish league where he is well thought of.

We would be lucky to get 500k for him at the moment.

I would see if we could loan him to an SPL team for 6 months.

Think loans the best option for him. He's not going to get enough chances in our team to improve so 6 months playing regular football could do him the world of good or prove he is a dud once and for all.

He plays like a poor mans Gervinho, like to run at players and dribble but doesnt get in the box enough or score enough(any) goals. We should try him on the wing.
