Arrived back in Norwich at 6:45 am. My thoughts on the day/match:

Celtic Park is an amazingly good ground and every single Celtic fan we met shook our hands and wanted to chat with us. Made the 7 hour journey seem worth it even before the game. We went into the KFC near CP before the game and there was a little lad there wearing a Rangers top which made things a little awkward but nothing happened which was good :)

The game: from a Norwich point of view I felt we played a lot better in the second half with the introduction of of Wes Hoolahan and Grant Holt into our team.

Very even game on the whole I thought with Holty providing the difference as he has done so many times over the last 3 years.

Good luck in the Champions League lads. I'll be wearing my new Celtic shirt (bought last years home shirt from the Park Head club superstore).

I really hope the friendship between Celtic and Norwich will continue to grow.

Well worth the 15 hour round journey.

    No, they don't, i'm sorry.

Our rivalry doesn't just disappear because they have been liquidated. I'm guaranteeing you every major rival in world football would be rubbing salt in their liquidated rivals wounds should they find themselves in our position. Just enjoy the ride mate and laugh in the face of those clutching at straws such as "our history remains", "you changed your name", "you're obsessed with us". Doesn't matter what they say it won't change the fact the club they held so dear is gone, never to return, with merely an imposter in it's place.

Thought Lustig looked better at Centre Back than he has done in any games as a right back.
Against the smaller SPL teams, Paddy at DM could be a real option, last night his range of passing looked better than anyone in the squad.

Just watched the game, a day late. On the whole, not too impressed. Random thoughts:

    - McGeouch looks bright, was annoyed to see him come off.
    - Sammy played fairly well, but he can't finish
    - As a team, we continue to look so devoid of ideas in the final third that it hurts
    - McCourt proved again that he's a great distributor of the ball, and one of a dying breed at CP, a man willing to attack the middle of the field
    - Big Vic is solid as a rock. Lucky to have him.
    - Bangura is starting to look like Daryl Murphy II
    - Daryl Murphy still looks like Daryl Murphy

Can't really disagree with any of that, however I thought we looked quite good :icon_mrgreen:

Bar the 2011 CIS Cup Final against Rangers when he played with a severe toothache, Aluko's goal at Ibrox in March and a friendly in Amsterdam when hasn't he "looked decent" in his 2 and a half years at the club?

Anyway, it was a decent performance but a typical dreary friendly which deserved to finish 0-0 imo. I sincerely hope we step up a few gears against HJK because I feel we need atleast a 2 goal lead to progress and I also hope to * McCourt doesn't fool Celtic fans and most importantly Lenny in thinking he can play in the "Pirlo" role because he can't and a few nice passes without being challenged or pressured in a kickabout with an EPL side - likely to be in the relegation zone during 2012/13 - that deployed a different eleven per half will convince me otherwise. Green Brigade were good on a separate note, I always enjoy the COYBIG from our end (Jock Stein stand) to them. :50:
