We shouldn't be worried about any of their players. If we go out and play our game the way we can we should win. We have Hooper, Stokes, Samaras, Kayal, Ledley, Forrest, Mulgrew, Izaguirre... players THEY should be afraid of. We have nothing to fear.

I'd say look out for Joel Pohjanpalo (who has been described as one of the top talents in finnish football ever) and Mika Väyrynen, otherwise I wouldn't be to worried about this draw. Think we will win.

Didn't pick it from wiki, I've actually seen him play and remember that hattrick. :86:

Him, Makela and Vayrynen are the only ones I knew play for HJK, no clue bout the others on their team.

Let's see how this goes. We have to be aiming to beat them quite simply because we are the seeded side.

I imagine Lenny will go for the 3-5-2

    Forster
    Rogne Wanyama Mulgrew
    Matthews Kayal Brown Ledley Izaguirre
    Commons
    Hooper

Agree mate, there are a few of our players who have been linked with moves to top half premiership teams and the top teams like man u,arsenal and man * yet we are worrying about this Finnish mob

That hat trick shows us as much about the poor quality of Finnish football as it does the good. The defending was shocking. No idea what the goalie was doing for the first either. More scared of the post than saving the ball.

The formation will be absolutely paramount for the away leg. Hopefully we can frustrate them as they like to play attacking football, but then let our superior class shine through when going forward ourselves.

Do we have any recent experience of playing on an artificial surface? If not, surely some of the pitches (indoor maybe) at Lennoxtown are artificial?

Imagine what they'd think when they see Celtic's away record in Europe in recent years lol.

disagree with this. They beat schalke at home last year who came 3rd in the german league.

We can't be complacent with teams like this

Don't know anything about this team but when we played them before, it took a late Sutton goal to put them out. On the night they won 2-1 and inflicted Martin O'Neill's first defeat so I wouldn't just write them off.

Hopefully we can do the business.
